This is an awesome collaboration with Mikkeller and Hill Farmstead. It will mess with your mind as an IPA designed to mimic Limoncello. A slightly sour mash, combined with Lactose for sweetness, tonnes of lemon Zest and hopped to death with Sorachi Ace and Citra. Bottle, cask and keg.

Poured a clear dark yellow/orange with a small white head. Aromas of lemon, citrus, vanilla. Flavor followed the nose. Medium body and a fairly slick texture. Honestly, this was a decent beer. I’ve had friends say it was awful. It wasn’t bad and quite unique and complex. I wouldn’t go out of my way to find it, but I’d drink it again.

Bottle from Whole Foods PM. Pours hazy, bright gold with 3-finger white head that laces copiously. Nose is intense pineapple, mango, tangerine, white pepper. Tastes tart, fruity, with pineapple, tangerine, mango, and resiny hops. Delicious.

Smells like a foot. Beautiful clear copper with lively frothy head. Tastes like a sourdough rye bread with lemon zest on it. Leaves lasting lemony sour and bitterness.

Aroma is lemon/lemon peel, citrus and a hint of hop resin. The flavor is lemons, citrus, slight pine needles, malts and a very tart/dry finish.

The lactose on this does some crazy shit, would have almost guessed this was a barrel aged beer of some sort based on that. Bright, spritzy lemon character all over this. A big burst of chew on the mouth from the lactose, some sweetness, then a nice rush of sourness to wash that all off your palate. Interesting enough as a small pour.

Bottle - this one definitely plays with the lemon side of hops, more than the bitter. Very acidic. Nice, if you like that kind of thing (which I do).

Bottle from wine and cheese station. Pours golden and cloudy with a white head. Leaves a fair amount of lacing in the glass. Definite citrus on the nose. Lots of lemon on the tongue with a hint of sweetness. There’s a bit of sourness as well. It’s an interesting twist on the IPA.
