This is an awesome collaboration with Mikkeller and Hill Farmstead. It will mess with your mind as an IPA designed to mimic Limoncello. A slightly sour mash, combined with Lactose for sweetness, tonnes of lemon Zest and hopped to death with Sorachi Ace and Citra. Bottle, cask and keg.

Bottle poured a dark golden color with a thin coating of white head. Aroma has juicy hops, citrus rind, mild tropical fruits, and some sweetness. Mouth feel is medium and the carbonation is low. Flavor has perfume to the citrus, lemon rind, pokes of sourness, odd sweetness, and a lingering finish. The flavors somewhat clash and the lemon is a bit out of control.

Pours orangish with a white head. The aroma has lemon, spiciness, caramel, mushy maltiness, powder and a bit of a soda like aspect. It has a medium / full bodied aspect with a light amount of semi-sharp carbonation. It starts with lots of lemon / lime, fairly sweet aspect, lightly toasted malt, liquor aspect, sprite and citrusy hops. The finish has lots of citrus, mainly sweet lemon, and alcohol heat. Interesting.

A very cool and unique brew that is good year round but spring and summer would be ideal. Pour is a cloudy amber with a fluffy head that sticks to the glass. Aroma is earthy, hops and citrus. Three of my favor beer styles mix first ipa then a sour and last but not least fruit.

Bottle from Beer Dock, Crewe. Hazy light amber pour. In your face lemon, easy drinking and lighter than it’s ABV. You’re probably sucking your cheeks in by the end!

Pours a dark yellowish orange. The aroma is strange, filled with lemon and alcohol. The flavor is tart and the beer is overall unpleasant. This should have been dumped and never distributed

Bottle from Table and Vine. Clear gold with ring. Lemon pastry aroma with hints of sour candy. Sweet melony gross cloying milky texture with gross cloying lemon zest sweet and sour candy sugary finish. Medium full sticky yucky body. Gross. Luckily is wasn’t too expensive. On the other hand, if it was more expensive I wouldn’t have wasted my money. Nobody is perfect -- Mikkeller and Hill Farmstead are still great, but this sucks.

5oz on tap at Liberty’s. Tom S. tells me that this is brewed at Hill Farmstead, Hazy orange amber color. Thin ring of white head. Grapefruit, lemon, lots of pleasant citrus. Mild caramel malt. Moderate tart taste, moderate sweet, some bitterness. Balanced, pleasant taste. Bigger body. Smooth, kind of soft, crisp, lighter carbonation, kind of syrupy. Hides the alcohol well, aside from the bigger slick body. Really fun, tasty, different IPA. Definitely a lot of pleasant citrus, both from hops and the yeast.
