4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Moderate grain for the malt, herbs for the hops, light dough for the yeast, with big notes of lemon with fresh cut rind, dried apricot, and candy sugar. Head is small to average, frothy, white with fair lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is murky medium amber. Flavor starts slightly sweet and moderately to heavily acidic and sour, then finishes moderately to heavily acidic and moderately bitter. Palate is medium, oily with a soft to lively carbonation and a tart and dry finish. Wow, I wasn’t expecting this. What a combination of a crisp DIPA with the perfect amount of lemon thrown in.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Aroma of malt and fresh citrus. Cloudy dark amber color, smooth 1" ivory head, dots and splashes of lace. Taste is slightly sour malt that adds a hint of bittering before turning the whole thing over to sweet citrus. Not like a shandy, something different going on her, but, it still isn’t a satisfying brew. Much too sweet at the end, in fact, it loses track of the whole IPA business about halfway through. I will not buy this again.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a dark golden rusty pour with an ephemeral white head. Nose is strong citrus with heavy sweeter lemon....with lighter citrusy hops . Taste is through and through bitter lemon, and ends on tart and spurn notes. Finishes on the same tasting notes , with a very long tart lemony ending. A very pleasant palate pleaser ! Quaff Score 8 /10

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
500 ml bottle into tulip glass, best before 1/14/2016. Pours very hazy deep orange/amber color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big lemon, lime, grapefruit, tangerine, orange peel, citrus rind, pineapple, berry, pepper, pine, wheat, honey, cream, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great complexity and balance of citrus/tropical hops, lemon juice, and pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big lemon, lime, grapefruit, tangerine, orange peel, citrus rind, pineapple, berry, pepper, pine, wheat, honey, cream, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Good amount of piney/spicy/citrus rind bitterness and citrusy tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, lime, grapefruit, tangerine, orange peel, pineapple, berry, wheat, honey, cream, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical hops, lemon juice, and pale malt malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/tartness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Good amount of dryness from bitterness and tartness. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/sticky/resinous, and lightly acidic mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a small warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is an awesome fruited double IPA style. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical hops, lemon juice, and pale malt flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the big ABV. A highly enjoyable offering.
