This is an awesome collaboration with Mikkeller and Hill Farmstead. It will mess with your mind as an IPA designed to mimic Limoncello. A slightly sour mash, combined with Lactose for sweetness, tonnes of lemon Zest and hopped to death with Sorachi Ace and Citra.

Nja, väldigt citronig. Det kanske är meningen, och då har man väl lyckadats. I DIPA termer är väl den mer skum än god.

Sour and citrus fruit in the aroma and palate. Not much bitterness in the aftertaste but more acidity. Lies down in the upper part of the mouth briefly. Good and blotted beer but maybe a little poor in taste. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Bottle. Clear orange body, small white head. Nose is lemon, lemonbalm, peaches, rose water, hints of lemongrass and mild malty notes in the back. Taste is lemon, bitter lemon peel, apricot, peaches, lemongrass, lemon balm and hints of alcohol and pale malts. Medium body and carbonation. Extremely lemony, but original and somehow tantalizing.

Bottle 33 cl from Systembolaget. Hazy orange with a white head. A lot of lemon, lime, generic citrus, some bitterness (zesty?), tart. Light body, medium carbonation, tart finish. Really nice for me as a citrus lover.

Lots of lemon and lime in the aroma. Hazy orange white head. Taste is sweet lemon, lemon drops, some bitterness but not enough. The bitterness that is there is zesty. Light body average carbonation, could have been dryer. Citrusy explosion, if you want citrus you want this.

Draught at the Euston Tap, London on 18 June. Poured a lightly hazy, deep golden colour, with a dense white head. Aroma was very tart, quite acidic, definite limoncello, with some citrus hops and sweet malts. At first the acidic, sour flavours are quite off-putting, there’s even a slight saltiness to it, but after a few sips, I did start to adapt to it. Turned into a mouthful of lemon sherbet. Finish was more typical hop resin, caramel and biscuit. Interesting, but I wouldn’t want too much of this one.

33cl bottle from Systembolaget, Sundsvall. BBE 15 April 2015. Amber color, thin white head. Wow, very strong lemon at first, some biscuity notes, citrus hops in aroma. Flavor is tart with lemon juice, hops, cloudberries and pine notes. Mouthdrying, tart finish. Extreme, but refreshing. Haven’t had Limoncello, but this is a little like drinking some lemon mix you pour in drinks, only hoppier.

Tap (Pudel, Tallinn)
Orange, large but brief off-white head. Wrong aroma. A bit of a gag to be honest. Sickly sweet mashy malts, a bit lactic, hinting towards sour milk or even babyvomit. Tastes even worse, if that’s possible. Fizzy carbonation, acidic bite, even some aceticity to that. Not getting lemon, I’m getting bile. Dunno if that’s me, I may have thrown up a little bit in my mouth when I finally got my nose close enough to the beer to be able to take a sip. Finish lasts forever. Probably several days or even weeks if the staff don’t come out to clean up the glasses. And by that I mean I left it, absolutely no interest in such a mess. Maybe that’s a littled unfair, as the late finish did have a pleasant milky graininess to it. As well as the battery acid.

Flaska delad med @thaalcoholic, tack. Grumlig bärnstensfärgad vätska med vitt skum. Doftar mjukt av humle och citrus. Wohoo vilken citronjuice. Jag gillart!

Nice aroma. Light amber with rich white cap. Very sour with lemon sourness, it is not easy to feel bitterness which nevertheless is presented. Maybe IPA by the technology, but not in taste. If lemons are fruits - some kind of strong IPA fruit beer.

330 ml bottle. Pours a cloudy goldefn colour with a firm white head. Aroma is very rich with citrusy hops, herbs and some biscuit. Flavour of strong citrusy bitterness, herbs, biscuit, tropical fruits and orange marmalade. Some sourness as well. Lingering bitter, juicy and sharp citrusy finish. Citrus overload.
