A seasonal IPA, as Ryesing Tides is now finished, 7 Seas is a black IPA stuffed with 7 "C" Hops. Keep your eye out for it in bottle, keg and cask over the coming months.

Pours opaque black with a creamy white foam on top. The nose shows mostly creamy coffee notes but the first impression showed a lot of different pine notes from the hops. The palate is deceptive - it’s big thick and full bodied but slightly inflated due to the carbonation. The first impression shows a lot of roasted malts like a stout but finishes the expected IPA sharpness that lasts quite a while. Not my style - imagine a stout with the IPA bitterness but without the hoppiness.

draught@Erzbierschof - pretty black beer with a solid creamy beige foam; nice lacework; hoppy aroma of licorice and black cherries; roasted with notes of ashes; moderate malt body, pretty bitter and light harsh; malty finish with more notes oflicorice, tobacco and plums

In short:nice black hoppy ale.
Pours black with nice tan head. Short head retention, some lacing. Roasty, liquorice, coffee aromas. Medium body, average carbonation, crispy texture. Taste is coffee, moderate bitterness, some dry, abit grassy flavours. Enjoyable.

Keg at The Gun, London. It pours a deep amber-brown color with a medium off-white head. Aroma is earthy and malty with notes of pines needles, dried leaves and cut grass. Taste is malty with some caramel, earthy notes and piney hops and resin. Quite full bodied with medium carbonation. Overall, a really good take on the style

Deep, almost black pour with a tan, 1/2 inch thick persistent head. Looks great. Cocoa, roast, coffee, grapefruit aromas. Coffee, cocoa, roasted malt, then a nice piney, tropical fruit finish. Thumbs up

Poured from a bottle. Dark beer with good amount of off white head. I smell chocolate, hops and malts. Crisp to the taste and has a good body that warms you up. Leaves a light bitter taste lingering behind, begging you to take another sip. Perfect for winter time with heavy meals.

Poured from 330mL bottle. Black with tan head. Aroma of chocolate, mild roast malt, and mild hops. Dominant chocolate profile with roast malt coming through and mild piney hops.
