0.33l bottle. This is a deep and dark brown looking one with a really nice dense lacing and almost everlasting brownish top. Smells absolutely lovely. Rich deep dark cocoa with sweet milky chocolate, lots of woody vanilla and fudge like brownies. Absolutely lovely. It has a almost cloudy feeling in the mouth this. It’s not sweet or cloying at all, if anything slightly dryish but balanced as heck. There’s mineralish chocolate here, dry cocoa powder, some wood and a nice general toastiness all the way. A lovely lightdrinkable fruity stout creation I’d gladly drink again. 09.08.2014

Aroma has sweet cherry tones, some licorice and tart sherry tones. Flavour has candid sugar, some ripe fruits and berry juice. Too juicy but not bad still.

Backlog rating. 33cl bottle from Mother Kelly’s. It pours a deep black color with a small beige head. Aroma is with roasted malts, cocoa powder, vanilla bean, mild tart cherries. Taste is quite sweet andnot much in the way of tartness or funk, with dark chocolate, wild cherries, vanilla, wood, roasted malts and slight alcohol kick. Really good but could have used more tartness from the cherries

Bottle from Beermerchants. Pours pitch black with a huge frothy dark tanned head. Vinous aroma with cherries, roasty malts and chocolate. Smooth mouthfeel. Taste is complex with roasted malts, chocolate and ripe meaty cherries.Very good beer, stout or no stout.

Dark brown colour, beige brown head. Nose has coffee, cocoa, cherries and some sour notes. A lot of sour cherries are defining the taste at first, going over to a more chocolaty and caramel/toffee notes. Compared with a non-Grand Cru version, I like this one definitely better! Reminds me of a chocolate candy that has just one cherry - sour and soaked in rum - inside. Very nice.

Pitch black color with med brown color head. Intense bourbon nose with rich dark chocolate and rum balls in the nose. The mouth is med full and a touch unbalanced, sour with dark chcolate. Not smooth. Sour. I wonder if it comes from the cherries.

UPDATED: SEP 22, 2014 Another awesome stout from siren. Smokey and lots of roast malt. Light barrel blend that doesn’t overpower pungent aroma. Black with mocha head and lacing. Bitter finish with touch of caramel. Thanks to iphonephan for a taste of this. Bottle Churchkey.
