Bottle cheers to Paul. Pours dark brown with a small tan head leaving nice lacing. A lot less sweet than the Buffalo Trace BA variant. Plenty of dark fruit notes focusing on sultana with toasted marshmallow and balanced vanilla coming through. A decent kick of bourbon spice works well. Tastes of smooth toasty marshmallow, silky milk chocolate, mild aniseed and a touch of spice. Has more creaminess to it than the Buffalo Trace counterpart as well. A good drop

Keg at Tap East Anniversary Party. It pours deep black with basically no head. Aroma is roasted matls with cocoa and whisky. Taste is again quite sweet with chocolate, bourbon, vanilla, wood, roastiness and alcohol. Good and well rounded.

Bottle at home, 23rd December 13. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, bourbon. Pours a black drink with a slight elegant head. Taste is so smooth, rich and well balanced, coffee, chocolate a little molasses and bourbon, some vanilla notes. Excellent to sip by the fire

Tap East Birthday Bash. Keg. Opaque black beer with a small pale tan head. Smooth palate with light fine carbonation. Lovely smooth dark malts. No roast or bitterness. Mild dark fruits. Nice coconut and super smooth bourbon. No bourbon spice. Finishes lightly crisp. Superbly integrated and very drinkable.

Keg at the Tap East Birthday Bash - Stratford, London. Pours dark brown with a fine, beige foam head. The nose has lots of toasty malts and vanilla. Medium sweet flavor with more vanilla, light chocolate, mellow roasted malts, some dark fruits. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Superb balance on the finish, some light dry and burnt wood, chocolate, dry vanilla. Just excellent balance overall. Wonderfully drinkable and nicely nuanced.
