Breakfast stout with a gentle touch of smoke, coffee and chocolate. Broken Dream is deep and complex. She lurks in your imagination. She binds smoke and coffee aromas with chocolate, milk and oats to create something thick, velvety and slick. She will draw you towards a land of flavour, passion and colour.

Black stout with a thin beige head. Aroma is a coffee and chocolate blend. The initial taste is sweet chocolate and a touch of coffee, with a malty finish that I think has a bit of hop coming through as well. Very nice.

Bottle. Nose of chocolate, cream, light coffee. Black with lace. Sweet, creamy flavor, chocolate, almost no coffee. Too sweet and a bit thin. Ok, but not convinced.

Dark brown colour. Medium beige head. Toffee, coffee and hints of smoke in the aroma. Bready, rich beginning. Coffee in the middle. Hints of toffee. Cocoa and dark chicolate in the end. Cocoa in aftertaste. Nice silky mouthfeel. Nicely balanced, rather medium bodied, very good beer.

Bottle. Pours black with small and beige head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate (milk), some ashy notee too. In taste medium sweet, roasty with nice chocolate aftertaste. Medium to full body, very nice texture, smooth with soft carbonation. Finish is a bit ashy and bitter with bitter chocolate notes.

UPDATED: APR 15, 2016 Draught pint (keg) at Salt n Bone, Berlin on 25-Mar-2016. Dark brown appearance with a medium to thin tan coloured head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee and hops. Full body and soft carbonation. Full rich flavour, with a great mouthful. Dark chocolate, cocoa beans, coffee with a bitter chocolate finish. Complex but amazing.

Bottle. Dark brown beer, small tan head. Nose is coffee and milk chocolate, some mild roast and ashy notes. Flavor is mildly sweet and smooth, must be the lactose, milk chocolate, roasty malt and dry coffee notes. Pretty smooth and almost silky, but not quite. Very drinkable though.

330ml bottle. Very dark brown color. Small size, brown head, stays. Roasted malts, coffee, sweetish, grainy in aroma. Roasted malts, bit smokey, chocolate and milky in taste. Long lasting roast and sweet chocolate in aftertaste. Nice and mellow. Excellent brew!

Nice roasty aroma, some coffee aspects. Palate sweet and milky, this is a milk stout, no? Rough palate, quite harsh. Nice full body. Cocoa powder dryness. Actually quite harsh. Actually very harsh.

Bottle (from Koht), BB 24.02.17. Pours dark brown-black with light brown head. The head stays for a moment. Aroma is sweet, lacotse, oat, chocolate, malt. Flavor is sweet and bitter, roast, malt, oat, chocolate, some coffee. Finish is roast bitter with lactose sweetness. Overall: good.
