Cask, Keg & Bottled; Special - June to August 2013.
Note: Although the bottle is labelled 2.7%, it’s actually 2.8%, same as ther draught.

The goal was to create a beer with flavour, balance and body at only 2.8%, a Quarter IPA, QIPA if you will. Heavily hopped but with low bitterness this beer pops with notes of mango and grapefruit and is the perfect summer beer.

Incredible tropical pine and mango aroma for a 2.8%. Nice creaminess, then finish a little faint. Have a feeling that come the summer, we’ll all be sailing half mast.

1/3 liter, beer kitchen, Edinburgh. Pours medium light amber with a light haze and nice carbonation. Medium white head subsiding slowly. Scent is light citrus hops. Taste is mega crisp, dry. IPA with residing citrus hops. Flavor is mellow but with a medium light creamy body. Finish is a little watery contrast to the fair cream texture, and a little bitter. Good, interesting.

Bottle from Theatre of Wine, Greenwich. Gold pour with a white head. Peaches, marmalade and tangerine aroma. Lots of soft fruit in the flavour. Unsurprisingly light and easy drinking. Refreshing too. Light bitter finish.

Bottle at home. Pours hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma is tropical fruits, light malt and grass. Taste is mango, very slight grassyness, citrus, light malt. There’s an odd sourness that I can’t quite put my finger on. Very light, drinkable and ideal for a Sunday afternoon. Would’ve preferred more of bitter hop kick on the finish.

0,33l bottle at home from trade with minutemat, big thanks. BB 09.04.2016. light yellowish lightly hazy color, small white rather stable head. nice smell of aroma hops, exotic fruits, mango, pineapple, light sweetness, a bit candish, pines, even a bit flowery towards the finish. nice smell. quite light body, rather light carbonation, rather watery mouthfeel. quite watery start with some light herbal notes & some light grain notes, after a while a light sweetness comes through. Again some light candy notes, both sweetness and herbal bitterness increases towards the finish. also notes of pine needles, but none of the nice tropical fruits that were present on the smell. Finishes rather herbal better (especially considering the body) and with hints of pine needles. loved the smell but the taste was rather disappointing, not much going on there, rather herbal bitter and not much else. Overall still drinkable though
