COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is an awesome collaboration with Mikkeller and Hill Farmstead. It will mess with your mind as an IPA designed to mimic Limoncello. A slightly sour mash, combined with Lactose for sweetness, tonnes of lemon Zest and hopped to death with Sorachi Ace and Citra. Bottle, cask and keg.

Pours a ultra clear golden with a medium white head that leaves really nice lacing. Nose is of citrus oil, resin and oranges. Taste is nicely tart and offers meyer lemons, piny hops and orange juice. Not too bitter, more aromatic than bitter. More lemon juice, nice! Body is light to medium, carbonation moderate. Overall this was a really fine drink, not sure if I got the same bottle as everyone else or maybe it is the circumstances (magnificient cabin in the Vermont wood)?

16 oz. bottle labeled Lemon Cello. No dates. It pours a very hazy orange color wit ha thick white head. The aroma had some estery things going on along with higher alcohols, strong lemon and tangerines. Maybe the sour mash or possibly some oxidation setting in. The flavor is more pleasant with an intense lemony tartness, oranges, hints of caramel and alcohol with strong piney bitterness. I’m not getting any of the Lactose. Huge citrus and surprising tartness with some subtle funky esters that seem more like fermentation problems in a beer like this. Very weird, and not as good as I was hoping.

Bottle. Yellow pour with white head. Some solid lemon aromas. Flavors are more vibrant, mostly citrus and lemon tones.

Bottle at home with Harvey. Pour is hazy golden-orange with a small white head and decent lacing. Aroma is fresh squeezed orange and hair fruit juice - lighter notes of grass, tart lemons, mango, biscuit, and pineapple. Taste is bitter fruit peel, lemon juice, grass, papaya, biscuit, and pineapples with a medium bitter, tart finish. Full mouthfeel with high carbonation. Juicy fruit, tart and bitter IPA. Really tasty, but not exactly what I expected.

This is fantastic stuff and does a great interpretation of a beer in the style of classic limoncello. The pour is a hazy yellow, just like limoncello and the aroma is a warming lemons and sugar. The taste is great. It really marries the IPA withe the mouthfeel and sweetness from limoncello. Really Really Good!

Bottle from HFS. Pours an opaque orange, nice white head. Aroma is wheat, lemongrass, barnyard, hay, floral hop, wet grass hop, dandelion, some booze - complex nose. Flavor is medium acidic lemon, fresh floral hops and tart lemon again on the back end. This is fairly well balanced for the ABV and flavor mashup, wasn't sure how a soured IPA would go but well done. Med body, moderately boozy and sour, lively carbonation, a bit sugary from lactose.

Bottle. Lemon zest and spice highlights. Some hoppy bitterness, but it’s overshadowed by the lemon notes. Cloudy yellow pour with a white head. Good body and mouthfeel.

Bottle purchased at HFS. Clear yellow color with light white head in the snifter. Aroma is lemon, sugar, lemongrass and light lactic notes. The flavor is pretty interesting, it really is close to the liquor drink. Tart sweet lemons, weak hops and sugar mixture. Nice balance of tart and bitter.

**beware**. This has lactose sugar. If I wasn’t intolerant I could drink a lot of this. I am grateful that they informed the consumer of the lactose!
