This is an awesome collaboration with Mikkeller and Hill Farmstead. It will mess with your mind as an IPA designed to mimic Limoncello. A slightly sour mash, combined with Lactose for sweetness, tonnes of lemon Zest and hopped to death with Sorachi Ace and Citra. Bottle, cask and keg.

From keg at the Euston Tap on 9 September 2014. I’d really enjoyed this one in the past (note to self: where are my old and more extensive notes?). However, on this occasion, whilst the aroma was still heady and hoppy, I found the lemon a touch to dominant on the palate, rather smothering the hops. Still, drinks pretty easily for 9.0%.

Bottle. Pours with a medium hazed golden hued body with a white head that has some decent retention. Aromas are hoppy: lemon, pinesol, light dill, mildly zesty lemon character, slightly biscuity malt. A touch woody oddly. Flavors are tart and mildly bitter, lemon, zesty, strong Sorachi Ace dill notes. Mild sweetness. Light malty. Lively carbonation, off dry, decently well hidden alcohol. Inventive.

Interesting for sure if you like lemon. Hazy orange pour and pinesol lemon aroma. Lots of tart lemon with some hop charavteristics. Little dry. Moderase body and carbonation. Interesting.

Keg at casc. Pours a very slight hazed orange with a small froth head which fades. Aromas of sweet lemon and nice bitter lemon cello taste.

Bottle via unknown from Michael K. Pours a cloudy orange, little but of off white head. Aroma citrus, lemon, lacto character. Was the added lacto necessary? Body light and fluffy, some lacto and a lingering, astringent and almost soapy character. Eh.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy dark orange with a thin off white head. Aroma is lemon, sour, hops. Taste is hoppy with a lot of citrus, lemon, and some sourness. Very interesting and unique.

Pours a murky golden orange with a foamy white head that settles to a film. Aroma of lemon, grapefruit, citrus pith and some grassy hops. Taste is tart with lemon juice and also some sweetness. Grapefruit and citrus pith with some chalky bitterness, an earthiness and slight phenolic note. Finishes mostly dry with a lingering tartness. Medium/full bodied with high carbonation. Refreshing combination of tartness, slight sweet and bitter. More like a cross between a Gose and berliner Weiss.

Bottle. Pours hazy orange amber, large off-white creamy head, dissipates slowly, nice lacing. Aroma is crazy lemongrass, kind of over the top. Flavor is lemony like crazy, some underlying bready malt, zesty bitterness. Medium body. Not really coming together for me.

Bottle from Thistle News, Aberdeen. Pours clear dark golden/amber with a big creamy white head. Aroma of lemon, floral and fruity hops, nice. Taste is light sweet, acidic lemons, astringent middle, long dry fruity finish. Complex, interesting and refreshing.
