Bottle from Hop Hideout, Sheffield. Very murky, dark orange colour. Huge, bubbly, white head. Tropical fruit. Grapefruit. Buttery toast. Taste is yeasty dry. Some sweetness, prior to a hefty thump of bitterness. Chewy, oily palate. A dry, yeasty balance. Long, fairly light, bitter finish. Very nice.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle from the Red Squirrel Chesham Brewery Shop. Poured a cloudy yellow, with a dense, white head. Yeasty aroma, with notes of dry grain and lemon. Initial flavours of citrus hop, bread and brown sugar. Finish was biscuity malt, grapefruit and very, very bitter, astringent resin. If this were draught, I might have assumed that they had got to the bottom of the barrel.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. A slow gusher producing a dense, off-white head over an unclear, orange-golden body. The aroma has a nice bretty touch, citrus and some leather and farmhouse notes. A faint malty touch as well. There’s a nice citrusy bitterness in the flavor, with some pale malts, quite a lot of grapefruit and pine cones. Full body and a pleasant carbonation level. Lasting bitter finish. Doubt the brett is intended, but it certainly suits the beer. Dangerously easy drinkable, and also tasteful. 140315

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle Rehills Newcastle. Big spicy, yeasty aroma and just when you expect all that Belgian complexity, the hops jump onto the tongue and head it off at the pass. I like this a lot, fairly quick warmth in the chest, fruit and sherbert finish and then earthiness and dry leaves very late on. Good combination of styles.

@ Ölprovning på Havregatan 7 mars 2014. Frisk och krispig, tropiska frukter, sötma, medelfyllig. Fruktig avslutning. Känns som en blandning mellan en IPA och en saison.
