COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask conditioned and keg unpasteurised; Regular A 5.6% west coast IPA: golden, immensely hoppy and alive with grapefruit, peach and mango flavours. Soundwave carries her drinker to the west coast, to the golden shores of California where craft ale is nectar. She is the driest of Siren’s ales – full with flavour but subtle with bitterness. Her resinous finish will pull you off balance.

Pours hazy copper, with white head. Could tell it wouldn’t be super dank from the look. Notes are pine and old grapefruit hop.

330 ml bottle. Hazy orange colour with stable head off. Aroma of tropical fruits, hops. Taste of peach, mango, maracuja, pine moderate carbonation. I expected more bitter aftertaste but in the end it left good impression on me.

The last bottle at Pudel. Beautiful bright orange with good white head. On the nose there’s pungent sharpish hops, blackcurrant leaves, unripe tropical fruits. Somewhat earthy too? Strange, but I can’t help but get some stale coffee as well... Tastes fruity bittersweet, pretty sharp of unripe grapefruit or rather pomelo. Bit spicy bitter. Zesty. Very dry on the palate. Body on the thinner side of medium. Overall... too dry, too spiky bitter... Not really the kind of IPA I’d enjoy tremendously... I remember having their Das Soundwave a while back, made with German hops - I seem to have liked that one much more.

In Berlin aus der Flasche getrunken. Angenehm fruchtig im Geruch. Ein normales, ehrliches IPA, mehr aber auch nicht.

West Coast style, mellow pine-y hops. Less grapefruit and more peach on the nose than you’d expect – and slightly herbier than average (white pepper? little bit of cough medicine?). Slightly more malt, melon and bitterness on the way out. Not the biggest, but maybe one of the cleverest?

Alla spina. Dorata e profumata, fiori, miele, luppolo. Amarognola, erbacea e con un pizzico di malto. Corpo lieve, setosa. Non male.

Bottle, Oddbins West Hampstead. Golden colour, thick but vanishing white foam. As described, dry, citrus/pine/resin hoppy bitter IPA. Medium finish, decent intensity especially given acceptable abv. Drinks very nicely, decent.

330ml bottle. Hazy light golden color. Medium size, thick and bubbly white head, stays. Strong citrus, fruity, grapefruit, bit of pine in aroma. Pine needles, grapefruit, bit of pine sap, some sugars in taste. Really citrusy/ pine needley in aftertaste. Soft carbonation. Grapefruit peel bitterness. Goes down pretty well.

Bottle. Nice design. Pours an almost clear golden body with a medium head. Aroma has some tropical fruits and a bit of lemon. Mildly fruity and grassy taste with medium level zestiness and bitterness. Taste has apricot and gooseberry. Has no clear direction. A bit too watery or too filtered for my tastes. Sweet fruity finish. Drinkable, but not world class to me. I would like to taste a less filtered version.

33cl bottle from SIP veini- ja őllepood, Tallinn. Pours clear golden with a modest, but lasting, white head. Fruity and hoppy aroma with citrus, pine, tropical fruits, pale malt and hints of herbs. Moderate sweet with medium flavour intensity and a nice bitterness. Fresh, refreshing, tasty and fairly sessionable.
