Cask conditioned and keg unpasteurised; Regular A 5.6% west coast IPA: golden, immensely hoppy and alive with grapefruit, peach and mango flavours. Soundwave carries her drinker to the west coast, to the golden shores of California where craft ale is nectar. She is the driest of Siren’s ales – full with flavour but subtle with bitterness. Her resinous finish will pull you off balance.

Bitterness and flavour but low alcohol percentage. Very drinkable but not too heavy. Golden, foamy, herbs...

September 9, 2014 - on draught at The Earl of Essex. Hazy gold, decent off-white drool of head. Full-on citrus/resin/pine/pineapple hop aroma, sweetish malt backing - lovely. Taste follows, add in cattiness - friggin’ great US-style IPA, screw malt, this is all about the hops. Average body, astringent, decent carbonation, longish catty/bitter finish - terrific IPA. Damn!

Nice aroma. Great golden pour with lots of head. Smooth cask mouthfeel. Taste and palate are pure west coast IPA. Good refreshing and solid IPA.

From tap. Tropical salad fruits on nose. Sweet, overriped mango, lichi and also lot of citrusses. Surprisingly, malty base heavily recognizable after first sips. After that, festival of hops. Some resin, florals and herbs in aftertaste. Excellent IPA, but it’s not the west coast one.

Keg at the Holborn Whippet. Orange-amber and fairly cloudy. Smallish creamy head. Aroma is of piney hop, paper mulch and citrus. Taste is best described as bittersweet with savoury (artichokey?) notes. Fairly short finish, muted bitter aftertaste. Well-made but a bit strange for what I was expecting to be a standard uncomplicated hoppy pale ale.

Bottle, 0.33l. Hazy deep golden color with large frothy off-white head. fair lacing and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of citrus, tropical fruits, melon and resin hops. Taste starts refreshing fruity supported by rich and sweet malty backbone with spicy mouthfeel and heavy resinous hoppy finish with long aftertaste. Full body, oily texture and soft carbonation in palate. Perfect for my wave length...

Bottled 330ml. -from Hoppiness Koper. Darker golden coloured, small white head, citrusy hoppy nose. Sweetish malty, light caramel and pleasant citrusy hoppy taste with quite bitter finish and aftertaste. Not bad but expected better one.

33cl bottle @ Bishop’s Arms, Norrköping. Hazy amber, thick white head. Herbal notes, mango, nettles in aroma. Flavor has nettles, citrus, malt, hops. Very bitter finish. Herbs rule here. Quite pleasant, but not a fan of beers with so much herbs. Mixed feelings.
