Taste is mostly sweet, mildly bitter with roasted malts, wood and vanilla. Notes of coffee, chocolate caramel and citrus. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Overall, quite tasty, nice

On tap @ Beer Temple. Deep dark, clear, reddish brown color. Soapy beige head. Aroma’s: cocoa powder, milk chocolate, roasted malts, ground coffee, some sweetness retronasal. Flavor is only lightly sweet, roasted, chocolatey. Body is light to medium. Low carbonation, velvetty mouthfeel. Finishes light bitter, chocolate. Nice!

Clear dark black brown color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, vanilla. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, chocolate, vanilla. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat.

[10/6/13] Cask at CASK Pub & Kitchen in London. Black with a bit of brown foam. Roasty aroma of coffee, cocoa and some milky hints. Sweetish flavor with milk chocolate, dark chocolate, some coffee and a slightly more roasty finish. Medium-bodied. Nice and easy-drinking.
