COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask & Bottle conditioned and keg unpasteurised; Regular
A 4.5% pale ale with spicy, grassy aromas and a taste of grapefruit and apricot. Undercurrent is part pale, part oats and part caramel barley. Her swirls of bold, bready and nutty malt whirl into a concoction of spicy, citrus, floral hops. Mystery lurks in those cascade and palisade hops. Her silky, creamy body will pull you under.

(Draught at Beer Temple, Amsterdam, 28 Feb 2014) Amber colour with dense, off-white head. Fruity, malty nose with citrus, orange and apricots. Malty, fruity taste with notes of orange peel, apricots, a touch of black-currant and a generous bitterness in a fairly dry finish. Medium body, quite dry. Fresh and quite tasty. Nice one.

Small head and soft carbonation. light colour and body. the aroma is not very strong though, you can smell some floral and some malty flavours, but it mostly has a grassy and mossy aroma. The taste as well is lightly citrus/floral with a bit of malt sweetness, but then it comes with a super strong grassy bitterness which is predominant and very persistent. I think this beer is a bit too unbalanced in my opinion, because this grass bitterness is really killing everything else in it, and it’s a bit astringent. But it still is an interesting and different beer compared to the classic pale ales, which will definitely do a great job to kill the thirst in a hot day, and will please the fanatics of strong bitterness. p.s. while drinking it and looking at the label, I thought that if it was called "Enchanted Forest Fairy" it would have definitely matched better with its taste and character. ;)
