Cask & Bottle conditioned and keg unpasteurised; Regular
A 4.5% pale ale with spicy, grassy aromas and a taste of grapefruit and apricot. Undercurrent is part pale, part oats and part caramel barley. Her swirls of bold, bready and nutty malt whirl into a concoction of spicy, citrus, floral hops. Mystery lurks in those cascade and palisade hops. Her silky, creamy body will pull you under.

330mL bottle BBE: 28.08.16. Chilled. Pours a pinkish copper body with high haze and a medium, lasting, loose/frothy yellowish head. High intensity hop-forward nose, bursting with ripe apricot. Undertones of lime, grapefruit, resin and hay, with some earthy notes. Very spicy on the tongue, there’s a light, sticky sweetness, a light hoppy sourness and a medium sharp bitterness. Full-bodied with an abrasive texture, high carbonation and a long, developing finish. Certainly not just another pale ale, this has loads going on - the more you drink, the more you notice. If any criticism, the taste buds probably aren’t excited enough to support such a weighty body, but delicious nonetheless.

Definitely more UK than a US pale ale. Nice mouthfeel, easy drinker. I really like the sweetness from the caramel malt addition.

From Festival de las Naciones. In Duvel glass. At lunch back home, with breaded steaks and fried potatoes. Perfect aroma, taste in the same level, and low ABV. What more can be asked?

On cask at the Cock in Hackney. Pours a slightly hazy honey color with an of-white head. The smell is oats, big citrus. The taste is Citrus, toasted malt, grapefruit ending crisp and dry. The body is light+...creamy with fine carbonation.

Pours a hazy gold/ orange with a small white head. Gentle aromas of resinous hops, and a taste typical of American-style IPAs. Grapefruit, pine resin and apricots are all there in the taste. There is an underlying slightly metallic thinness from the oats as well as some maltiness from the barley. Dry finish. A nicely balanced beer, but a little thin in the mouth.
