COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask & Bottle conditioned and keg unpasteurised; Regular
A 4.5% pale ale with spicy, grassy aromas and a taste of grapefruit and apricot. Undercurrent is part pale, part oats and part caramel barley. Her swirls of bold, bready and nutty malt whirl into a concoction of spicy, citrus, floral hops. Mystery lurks in those cascade and palisade hops. Her silky, creamy body will pull you under.

Maybe I had this too cold but it was a bit tasteless and thin, with just a very bitter after-tase. A bit more came through as it warmed up but still a bit thin, especially in the after-taste. Aroma of nutty caramel wit a little, almost rye like spiciness. Some juicyness comes through in the taste but not loads, still thin. Disappointing overall from a super brewery.

Bitter, sour citrus. Nice copper golden colour, little off-white head. Nice bitter nutty breadlike flavours. Pleasent bitter bready aftertaste

Consumed at the Walrus and Carpenter in London. Overall, slightly bitter taste, but far from overpowering (good imo). Could easily have had more than just the two bottles!

330ml bottle from Hoptimism. Big bubbly white head settles quickly, a little lacing. Hazy golden orange body. Nose is grass, apricot, honey. Flavour is bread, oats, earthy hops, grapefruit, lots of malt as well. Gentle grassy bitterness on the aftertaste. Good mouthfeel, big and bubbly, medium carbonation. Really easy to drink, solid rather than earth shattering but a good pale ale.

Unclear, amber colored, off white medium frothy head, good lacing. Aroma is of caramel malt, orange fruity hard candy, some floral and citrus hops. Taste is medium sweet caramalt, some orange candy, citrus and floral hops, low+ bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, bit creamy. Old bottle and the hops gave up on life - on the redo list.

Bottle bbe 311215 (already passed!). Pours hazy golden with ok head. Aroma fresh, citrus with some yeast derived notes. Taste fresh, grapefruit. Finishes quite fast with grapefruity bitterness. Very nice and refreshing even though past bbe date. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330ml bottle in Shaker glass. You can feel the oat and hops, quite herbal and a little fruity (grapefruit). Color is a brilliant orange with a creamy persistent but thin white head. Taste is herbaceous and quite malty, balanced bitter finish. Perfectly mixed oats in this beer, not my favourite kind of but more than enjoyable.

Bottle at home. Aroma is malt, dark bread, grapefruit, biscuits, some citrus, oats, herbal tea notes, some caramel, spicy hops. Flavour is light sweet and moderate to medium bitter. Body is medium, excellent smoothness and balance. Generally I do not like lots of malt in my APA, but when its oats or rye thats a whole different thing! Great one!

Cest amer pour une American pale ale, a manque de fruit mon got et a a une fin de bouche de noisette. Cest vraiment bizarre.

Thx! for sharing. Sampled draft @ Dynamo. Darker than expected, dark brownish amber, creamy off-white head. Quite different from what I expected, lots of herbal bitterness, heavy, dark bread, grapefruit, biscuit, Quite a solid body. Unusual bitter hoppy profile, quite herbal, bit much for me but not bad, nicely made. Admirable.
