Backlog from lost & found notes: Aroma of citrus, sour grapes, orange zest, and whiskey. Taste is sweet and sour with a tiny little malt sweetness tries to hold up the sourness. Lemon zest and general sourness with some resin and wood makes this a bit better than I thought. Cool brew!

Light golden color. Smells like whiskey sour to a tee. Amazing. Slightly sour with tons of lemon character, full malty body. Low hops. Not an ipa at all. Nice and sour. Really nailed what it is trying to do, and I hate bourbon ipas. Fantastic. Sourness and bourbon linger.

Bottle at home. Hazy orange pour, no head. Aroma is fruity, vanilla, alcohol, lime, tangerine and some bourbon. Flavor is a strange balance between sour lime juice, bourbon vanilla, spicy hops, slightly bitter and fruitness. Miraculously well balanced. Quite unique brew.

Bottle. Aroma is lemon, bourbon, booze, quite sharp, some boozy fruit too. Taste is good. Initial lemon and some boozy sweetness and then the barrel comes in at the end. Bit of sourness and warmth from the booze. I like it, but maybe not as much as I had hoped I would.

Bottle, 10.2%. Hazy golden with tiny white head. Aroma is malt, limoncello , hop, fruit and fruit peel. Flavour is malt, fruit, hop, fruit peel, medium bitter, little sweet, little sour?, warming with notes of alcohol.

Bottle. Pours a medium sized clear, light amber with a small white head. Aroma has fresh citrussy hops, sweeter bourbon and vanilla. Slight boozy. Some hints of chocolate. Taste has lots of lemon and lime, bourbon, vanilla, oaky dryness, hoppy bitter end, sweet and sour citrus fruits. Really fruity and somewhat successful.

Bottle from Mikkeller Web Shop. Hazy orange with a small off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, heavy lemon, wood and moderate hoppy - citrus. Flavor is quite sweet, light sour and rather bitter. Sweet, light sour and rather bitter finish with some alcohol. Oily. Strange beer, but then again I wasn’t a fan of the base beer. 020215

Bottle bought at De Koninck. Pours golden almost orange, no head. Funky smell, honey, herbs, lemon, little chemical candy. Taste is little sour, lemon, boy this is some experimental stuff.

This is an odd one. Golden body and small head. Sourish, salty, fermenting fruit, honey. Hop water, sour, herbal, mead like. Strange one but very original. Barrel aging wouldn’t have been necessary, but I still find this intriguing. (33cl bottle from Saveur Bière)

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Cloudy amber, small head.Bourbon and lemon zest. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Simplistic juicy whiskey sour flavour. Some grapefruit peels bitterness and tingling alcohol. Kind of refreshing, but disturbingly shallow and cool. Skillfully composed perhaps, but lacking soul and taking beer a direction I don’t admire.
