33 cl bottle split two ways. Hazy golden pour with a frothy off white head. Nose is lemon peel and some grapefruit. Loads of lemon, lemon peel and light grapefruit. Very sweet. As is warms up the bourbon notes shines through. Warm alcohol finish. Weird but good nevertheless.

Bottle from the brewery, drunk at home. Pretty much does what it says on the tin, well, bottle. Has that Limoncello soapy citrus aroma, with a hint of oak & whiskey. Taste of soft, soapy hops (sorachi ace? Maybe simcoe) with a lemon tang & a slight hint of sourness. Dry, woody, whiskey finish. Prefer the normal Limoncello, but this is still very tasty....

330ml bottle from Firefly Worcester. Murky deep blonde colour with no head. Soft lemon aroma. Taste has a nice citrus sharpness as well as a whiskey warmth.

330ml bottle. Orangey amber colour, thin white foam head and aroma of zesty citrus, woody, funk. Taste is tangy lemon, grapefruit, citrus rind, peach with some caramel, woody boozy and grassy bitter notes. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, sourish light bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.

Bottle from Sourced Market St Pancras and drunk at home. Hazy light brown amber colour thin white head. Certainly whiskyish on the aroma. Some toffee and biscuit. Some citrus. Itís a little too whiskyish for me. Bit strong, bit of alcohol heat. Itís ok, but just not my thing. Too much whisky for me. Some biscuit.

Oh, the decadence. Itís been a LONG time since I uncapped an expensive bottle of beer in the small hours of the morning and sat writing about it on the internet. Here goes....Pours a burnished, nectared brass with a low white foam. Nose the anticipated plethora of guava, blackcurrant and galangal hop loveliness without a sniff of sour or whiskey to distract; then something perfumed, botanical, gooseberry-inflected and slightly shit-spattered from the pig pens/hop fields of Flanders. Taste similarly hop-dominated with Refreshers-like sherbet, Rubicon, Turkish Delight, neat orange cordial and peach flan Cali hops vying for prominence. Zero whiskey. That Refreshers, violet-like note is as far as the sour goes. Lean supporting chaff of malt. Drinks about 5%. Rather magnificent. I could get right into this beer rating game.

5/VII/14 - 33cl bottle @ RBBSG III (Gent) - BB: 31/X/14 (2014-732) Thanks to JefVerstraete for sharing the bottle!

Little cloudy pale beige to light amber beer, aery white head, unstable, dissipates quickly. Aroma: bit sugary, funky, brett notes, lemony, cilantro, some chlorine. Very weird stuff, but not per se bad. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very lemony, bit sugary, sourish, weird, lemon peel, did I mention weird already? Aftertaste: bit sugary, lemony, sourish. Oh, and weird, very very weird! :p

330ml bottle, cheers to Stuu666 for sourcing. Pours hazy lemon yellow, thin white head. Like the base beer, itís very lemony, with the expected whisky note. Challenging, but interesting.

Bottle at home. Clear yellow with a small white head. Aroma medium citrusy, brett, bourbon, light malty. Flavor light sweet (Bourbon, barrel, caramel), citrusy, brett/sour, long hoppy bitterness, dry, some alcohol felt. Light to medium body, soft carbonated. I really donít know what to mean about this strange brew.
