mjs (4535) - Helsinki, FINLAND - DEC 31, 2013
(Keg at Kodu, Tallinn, 20131222) The beer poured golden and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had lots of butter, some grass and sweetness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were butter, grass, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste had butter and bittereness. The beer had too much diacetyl in it. Perhaps had it been fresher it would have been also better.

martjoobolut (634) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - DEC 6, 2013
UPDATED: DEC 7, 2013 0,5L glass bottle, BB 14.12.2013. Pours golden with small white head, most of the head dissapears quickly, thin white line remains. Aroma: very weird: grass, farm, vegetables. Taste is also weird vegetable sourness with some sweetness in the backgroud. Don’t like the taste of this one at all. Medium carbonation.Overall: maybe I have a bottle from bad batch, but this beer is rather disgusting. It doesn’t taste like chemicals or some artifical stuff, but this doesn’t mean it’s good. Couldn’t even drink half of the bottle.

1l plastic bottle. Hazy dark yellow color. Small size white head, disappears quickly. Sour, grainy aroma. Very very weak aroma. Malty, hops, starch, bready in flavor. Bit messy. Mild smoky bitter aftertaste.

Tap at Alus Namai. Pale gold, slightly cloudy, fine, low head. Tangy nose of lemon, grass, bread. Fruity and slitly cream. Creamy, tart, fruity flavor. Bread and grains, lemon. A lemony kellerbier with a grassy finish. Quite nice.

Big very white head. Clear deep yellow body. Grainy earthy peas aroma with wet steel and flowers notes. Dry-sweet earthy peas taste with strawy oily notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dry mealy earthy peas aftertaste with oily peanuts and grain notes. Really nice. Full of character and flavour. (0.5l bottle, Bamb Alyne, Vilnius.)

In short: A blonde beer with a lot of toasted hay and a slight farmhouse character. Highly drinkable.
How: Tap at Alaus Namai, Vilnius, Lithuania. Also from fresh 1L PET bottle
The look: Clear blonde body topped by a white ring of foam
In long: Nose has a moderate Lithuanian farmhouse character (henhouse to me) with some nice toasted hay. Taste has a hole lot of toasted hay, even a hint of smoke, very crisp, some boiled eggs, dry cookies, a tiny bit of honey. Overall low sweetness sensation. Active carbonation that tickles the tongue. The beer is supposed to use peas but I didn’t taste any peas whatsoever. Somehow I preferred the bottle version with its stronger farmhouse and toasted hay character and I found the tap was a bit dull and tasted like a standard characterless thirst lager. I had drank too much during that day in Vilnius with my friends, my problem is I just can’t stay sober when I’m with people, and also when I’m alone.
