1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
From an 11.6 oz. bottle. Poured a pale yellow with a quickly diminishing white head. The aroma has green beans and a little bit of dried field corn. The taste has some weird nasty old cherry ice cream taste. There is also a little bit of carrot with some lingering grass. This is a pretty poor light lager.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20
Dark gold with a thin, white head and many fat bubbles rising to the surface. Sweet and refined, grainy aroma, some apple-fruit esters. Very light on the palate, ethereal, and almost flavorless. This reminds me of the ’dry beer’ of the 80s.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pale golden, light effervescence, fast white head. Mostly burnt aroma with underlying nuttiness. Burnt plastic maybe. Corn nut flavor with a hint of metallica and a linger of mineral water with a twist of cabbage.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
An inoffensive light lager, pouring a pale yellow with a miniscule head. Sweet malt, slightly skunked, makes up the nose. Watery to drink with a generic malt flavor coupled with corn and other adjuncts. Dry finish. Nice bottle.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
(04.21.06) 11.6 oz clear colorless bottle as gift from Tony the Beer Manager at DiCarlo’s, Mundelein, IL. 3.6% ABV. Bottled 1/18/06. Poured light yellow with short lived small white head. Good carbonation. Grassy skunky aroma. Light bodied lager that starts dry with malt/corn flavors. Finished dry with light malt fade. A typical generic Chinese lager. Decent and drinkable but nothing special about this beer.

0.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
Sampler at Binny’s Orland Park. Distinctive smell of Prell shampoo as the guy was pouring from the bottle. Way too light in color, comes close to the fabled Miller Clear. Maybe if they brewed with grain instead of quartz water, they’d have something.

1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
You have to love that Milwaukee gets first crack at an obscure Chinese beer brewed 100m underground. Poured a clear light straw color with a quickly-receding fizzy white head... some visible carbonation rising. Nose was very mild, consisting of hay, faint veggie mash, and.. well.. that’s it actually. Flavors were few and far between, with pale, dry malts and hay in there.. Palate was exceptionally light with a watery, yet dry middle. Carbonation was moderate to high. Nothing offensive, but nothing to hold my interest.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Light straw color with a disappearing white head. grass and hay aromas. Perhaps a touch of dry malt, but quite a barren field. A chalky sweet malt flavor start. A simple sweet watery middle. Followed by an equally lightly sweet water finish. A touch of herbal bitterness comes in late and floats about. Nothing terribly wrong, just not a whole lot there. I do wonder how they brew it 100 meters underground.
