1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
Bottle into English pint glass. Pours the palest of yellows with enough carbonation to float a boat. Head was airy and white. Went away quickly and left no trace of itís short life behind. Aroma was, ummm, water? Maybe water cut with stale white bread. Flavor was a little bitter, but not like a nice, hoppy bitter. Just bitter and bland. Mouthfeel was like everything else: not much, which is the most commendable thing about this brew. I do now know that I can avoid this when I travel to China on business later this year. Overall, I wasted my time drinking it and rating it. Please save yourself the trouble.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This is the best beer I had in china. I still dream about it. It has serious malty backbone, but still has the typical low alcohol content. Refreshing & grapey. Itís perfect on a hot day whilest hanging out overlooking the tea fields.

1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Slightly hazed, off-gold with a minimal soapy head.
Suspended sediments (older bottle)
Scent is corn malt, grass...very faint.
Taste is slightly creamy, rice as adjunct, Iíd guess.
Not exactly terrible, just not much of anything but water.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Chilled out a dodgy old chest fridge - and cheap at 30 cents a can. Straw yellow with little head retention from what I could tell. Slightly earthy, floral and spicy hops meet lemongrass, sweet corn and dusty grains on the nose. Frothy but light in mouthfeel and parchingly dry in the moderately bitter finish. Grassy, peppery hops dominate, a little sweet corn and starch upfront, challenged malt barely peaks out but is there. late gripping metallic notes typically mar this one along with the other 5000 lagers of China. Overall thirst quenching stuff, and at least it had some hop profile. (35cL can, no date stamp, street food vendor, Xiían, Shaanxi, China)

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
12th July 2009
Clear gold beer. Dry crisp palate becoming creamier. Smooth lager malt and a decent streak of citrus. Let down by unpleasant metallic tang and a finish that is way too dry.

Hazy golden pour fizzy light white head ... very strong sweet malt straw smell .... rice .... sweet malty taste without the skunky aftertaste ..... typical crappy pale lager ... low abv .... hey it went good with some chinese food but theres definitely nothing special here

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
330 ml bottle. Stamp of 060118, maybe an 06 vintage? Clear golden with a lasting inch of creamy foam, and nice lace. Aromas of cream, sweet grass and hints of metallic berry. Flavor is rough grain husk, light grass and honey, nutty rice. Some slight tart berry as well. Later on, the iron overtakes the aroma completely, and the berry flavor shows up a bit more so that this one ends up tasting like a mild fruit beer. Light-medium body is creamy, fairly smoothly carbonated, dryish and lightly tingly. Not bad and really pretty sessionable, with some ale-like qualities. If this really was a 3 year-old bottle, it looks like the aging helps this one.

1 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
This ??? poured a light yellow colour with a very quick living head. Scents include...yeast and creamed corn. First taste was watery as hell with the corn flavours shining through but only slightly.finish was bland and corny. Plalate is the most watery mess that I’ve ever tasted.

1.1 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Pour produced a pale yellow body with a thin head of white foam, which quickly and totally diminished. Some earthiness to the nose. Slightly sweet to the taste with a watery body and no mouthfeel. Some honey notes to the palate, quickly fleeing toward nothingness. This was a thoroughly disappointing beer and would suggest to anyone looking at this bottle in the liquor store divert their gaze to something more satisfying, like Miller Lite.

1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
12oz beer: Honey gold pour with a thin head that sticks around for longer than expected. Corny nose displays lots of vegetal notes, dirty hay and grass. The body drinks light, like an American light beer. Watery, thin body offers little in the flavor department, but does quench the thirst on this hot day. Some straw, fleeding honey and more light grass in the finish. Refreshing but so is water.

1.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
Not pleasent at all. Pours a clear yellow colour, very watery, no head and a strong aroma of straw or dirt. im not sure what it was. at 3.6% it was very tempting to pour it all out.
