A very very good Pale Ale. Tons of complexity in the flavors and aromas. Definitely my favorite beer at this brewery.

pours rather dark for a pale ale, or even an ipa. smells of malt (nutty?) and grass, citrus and pine. lively hops w/o being bitter. same in the flavor. nice effort."

Bottle from Pizza Port bottle shop: Poured a golden honey color with a fizzy short lived head. Aroma is a perfume scented base of hops and had some organic earth notes to it. The flavor is a bland and empty taste with only a minor touch of malt liquor style malting and a puny amateur hopping added in. Almost no carbonation present at all which made it less like a beer and more like a malt breakfast beverage. Not even worth a six pack, so glad I was able to buy a single.

Well, this smells and looks fine, but otherwise it’s terrible. An immediate sour bite to it, which is even enough to override the hops, which are fairly abundant for a pale ale. Some strange fruitiness as well, but the skunkiness wins out.

Bottle:   Fiery amber, thin sudsy white head, sparce lacing.   Moderate hop nose, a bit of citrus and pith.   Slight earthiness.   Similar on the tongue.   A bit sharp on the backside, a little astringent.   Not a real smooth example, but certainly hoppy.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   A bit rough on the finish, too green perhaps?

Pale amber pour. Thick white head. The aroma is of light citrus and pine along with a dose of crystal malt sweetness. Slightly spicy hop finish as well. Okay.

Citrus rides backseat to pine and herbal hop aromas. Biscuity malts. Crisp feel. Quite solid

Bottle poured a clear reddish amber with a lingering ring of amber foam. Aromas of carmel, fruittiness and lighht earthiness. Palate was light to medium bodied and crisp. Flavors of carmel, fruittiness, light earthiness and a hint of pine with a crisp lightly bitter fruity finish.

Bottle. Golden copper pour, white head. Caramel malt, grapefruit, citrus, and light bread. Similar to the IPA, just lighter.

Sample at the brewpub. Clear amber pour with a thin off-white head. Malty, sorta English nose with earthy hops. Flavor is also mostly English malt with some earthy hop influence.
