2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Moderate floral aromas on this one. It tasted mostly like it was trying really hard to be bitter without really adding any hop flavor at all though. Pretty standard IPA.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Pours orange with a white head. Mild earthy hops, light bitterness, some toffee malts, and a balanced herbal hoppy finish. Not horrible, but not a great IPA.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma: some metal, grass and flowers some malts. Appearance: hazy amber, small, white head. Taste: light sweets. Palate: light bitters continue, grass and flowers intensify, getting slightly dry main the finish. Overall: OK IPA, but struggles to stand out. Bottle at the Freakin’ Frog, Las Vegas.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle to glass at Spread in Campbell. Pours a clear amber-orange (more amber) with an ivory head. Aroma is malty and no hop presence. Taste is full biscuit malt with minimal hop. This is a fine beer, but not really an IPA. In any event, cheers to a CA brewer for making an English IPA and not just a massive west coast citrus bomb.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
"after the rather tasty pale ale these guys have, this one was a flat out letdown. a bit on the boring side, faded hops, too dark and too much malt. came in at the same time as the pale, but tastes old. as is, not hoppy wnough for an english."

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the brewpub.
A: attractive amber-orange color; clear with a durable off-white head and patterned sticky lacing.
Aroma: herbal/earthy hops and faint bisquits.
Flavor: Moderately bitter; woody; moderately hoppy, fiting the English IPA style.
Feel: near medium body; medium carbonation.
O: a good English-style IPA.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours orange-amber with a straw colored head. Aroma is biscuit, lightly toasted grain, dusty, light orangey citrus, and earthy. Taste is sweet grain, orangey citrus, orange hard candies, leafy/woody/herbal, slight peach, medium bitterness. Chewy, resinous, medium body. I’d like to try another of these.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Beautiful amber color, somewhat lacking in head retention. Sometimes could be more carbonated, but never lacking in body and flavor. One of my favorite Humboldt brews.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Great English IPA. Poured syrupy, smelled of pine and citrus. Balanced but not typical IPA of a west coast brewer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Dad’s Kitchen. Pours copper with a rich beige head and a toffee aroma. There is a hearty caramel malt flavor with a solid bitter hop finish.
