Pours black with a medium a medium tan head. Aroma has nice light coffee notes...some mildly sweet/roasty malt. Flavor has good coffee and some roasty/burnt notes...bit one dimensional but not bad. Mouthfeel is just a bit thin but lively and the finish is roasty and hints @ coffee.

Poured from the bomber. Aroma is pure coffee. Nothing special, maybe Folgers? Flavor is similar. Thin head no lacing. Palate is smooth, low carbonarion. Overall this is good, but I would enjoy more complexity, and maybe better coffee flavor.

650 ml bottle from Bevmo. Pours an opaque black color with a small tan head that slowly recedes to a film. The aroma is strong with coffee, mocha and coffee grounds. The flavor is rather pleasant coffee, grounds, some acidic/sour dark fruits and a touch or mocha. The body is light and slick with prickly carbonation. Finishes medium in duration with lingering biter coffee grounds. Overall: My initial reaction to this was quite positive, but as I worked my way through the bomber I liked this less and less.

Bomber poured a clear dark reddish brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of coffee, bakers cocoa and roasted malt. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of coffee, roasted malt, light fruittiness and light bakers cocoa with a smooth dry lingering coffee finish.

22oz bottle. Rating #35. Very dark pour, not quite black, dark brown with a little black in there. Big coffee aroma with a little underlying vanilla sweetness. Big roasty coffee flavor up front, bordering on smoky and more vanilla and a little coconut as well. Interesting beer. (1984)

Pours black with off-white head. Very coffee on the nose. Very VERY cofee on the palate--like chomping on coffee beans. I love coffee, but it’s a little too much, actually.

Strangely fruity, raw, pulpy, sweet, not bitter like I would have hoped for. The smell of it is spectacular, and nothing like the flavor.

Bottle. Pours with a deep brown body with a creamy, but small brown head. Decent lace. Aromas are big, mocha, chocolate and coffee notes. Earthy, roasty. Baked bread. Beyond the earthy coffee note there is a bit of a Yoplait fake yogurt/vanilla smell (not lacto). Vanilla, lightly vegital. Flavors are roasty, earthy, tobacco. A bit astringent towards the back end. Lightly metallic as well. Bready, biscuity, nutty (almost a victory nuttiness). Vanilla and more coffee beans. Pretty bitter overall. Brown sugar. A bit of vegital coffee. Medium to light bubbles. On the thinner side of things. Decent.

22 ounce bottle purchased at BevMo in Natomas, CA. There is a ton of coffee in the nose of this beer. Very roasted and pleasant. Seems a little on the burnt side, though. Scantly transparent dark mahogany body with a nice, creamy light tan head that is strong. Starts a little sweet, before this becomes a little roasted in the middle with some buttery diacetyl flavors. Coffee flavors follow with a nice roastiness. A lingering dusty cardboard flavor is present late. This is strange, and seems a bit flawed.

22oz bomber. Light coffee, ash, touch of chocolate, honeydew melon and tangy tartness. Thin on the feel. Tart up front, nutty, coffee, bitter cocoa, cherry...infused with 9 volt. Not sure if this a bottling issue or what, but this beer has issues.
