Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours ruby brown with a transient light tan head. Strong, strong coffee aroma. There’s so much coffee in it that it suggests chewy bitter. Amps down a bit with time. Simple and tasty. Extreme beer.

Dark black-brown pour. The aroma is lovely. Soft and earthy with a fruity sort of coffee aroma. A little bit of blackberry an red currant flavour. Moderate bitterness and a light palate. Nice coffee porter although it could use more body.

Bottle. Pours with a deep brown body with a creamy, but small brown head. Decent lace. Aromas are big, mocha, chocolate and coffee notes. Earthy, roasty. Baked bread. Beyond the earthy coffee note there is a bit of a Yoplait fake yogurt/vanilla smell (not lacto). Vanilla, lightly vegital. Flavors are roasty, earthy, tobacco. A bit astringent towards the back end. Lightly metallic as well. Bready, biscuity, nutty (almost a victory nuttiness). Vanilla and more coffee beans. Pretty bitter overall. Brown sugar. A bit of vegital coffee. Medium to light bubbles. On the thinner side of things. Decent.

Bomber. Poured deep brown with a dense, creamy tan head. The aroma picked up sweet vanilla and hazelnuts over nutty coffee.. struck me as having a little too much creamer, but it was still quite enjoyable. The flavor found more of the tasty coffee and less of the additives.. light-moderate roast to it.. some tacky, near burnt molasses down there too.. dry roast stuck on the edges.. coffee sourness and more creamer-inspired sweetness on the quick finish. Medium-bodied and dry on the palate.. more sour as it warmed up.. this was an entirely solid, yet unspectacular brew. I’d gladly have another.
