Iím not a big fruit beer fan, but this was very tasty. What I enjoyed most was the lack of excess sweetness, the lambic tartness and the incredible freshness and flavor of the raspberries.

From a tap at the Sierra Nevada Beercamp across America. The pour is blood red and a sweet/sugary raspberry taste.

On tap at the brewpub. A: a very attractive red--orange color; clear with a very durable off-white head and patterned sticky lacing. Aroma: wonderful mix of fresh strawberries, strawberry jam and bisquits. Flavor: At first it is mildly sweet but, by mid-taste, a bit more tart, with mild bitterness in the aftertaste. Faint wood. Feel: light+ body; Soft and smooth; medium carbonation. O: excellent version of this Belgian style!

This is an excellent take on a lambic, deep red in color with wonderful raspberry flavor and essence. Women love it and so do men, endless beer cocktail possibilities and dessert as well!

LOVE! Great raspberry aroma, fizzy and a beautiful pinkish red pour. Had it on tap at the brewpub. Made with 480 pounds of raspberries according to the beer menu. It shows! More please.

Tap at the brewpub, fall 2013 - Pours ruby red with a strong raspberry aroma. It tastes sweet with tart raspberries. Bubbly and light to medium bodied, it has a lingering tartness. Itís good. Iím not specifically noticing he wild yeast here. The sugars may be overwhelming it, but regardless I enjoyed the beer.

On tab at Relik Tavern in Benicia, CA. Tastes like a slightly alcohol raspberry soda.

Iíve had this bottle for probably 2 years now, not sure if itís one for the Cellar or not, but alas thatís where itís been.
Pours a very nice dark pinkish red, the head rises and falls like champagne.

The aroma is raspberries, thatís for sure. In some ways it smells like fake raspberry garbage that would be used to make some sort of candy, but itís also got some solid real raspberry character. I donít know, itís a little cough syrupy smelling as well.

The flavor is earthy and tart, not overly sour... but lightly so. The raspberry flavor is dominant and sweet up front but the beer finishes fairly dry. The raspberry character is more believable in the flavor than the aroma. The beer has sort of a woody, almost roughness to it thatís actually fairly charming when coupled with the big raspberry flavor.

There are far worse takes on Lambic out there than this, although itís not something I find especially intriguing. Many a perfectly good belgian brewery has done worse. Not sure why they are doing it @ 7% abv though...

Bomber poured a clear garnet with a lasting pink head. Aromas of raspberry, cookie and light barnyard. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry lightly tart finish. Flavors of raspberry, cookie and light barnyard with a crisp dry lightly tart lingering raspberry finish.
