3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
The appearance of this brew is a hazy golden color with a small white head, and the aroma blends Belgian yeast, sour fruit, and sweet bread malts. The taste is mildly sour and slightly sweet, but it is the palate that combines a thin and slick texture, thin body, soft carbonation, and abrupt finish that round this beer our to make it very enjoyable.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sampled at the Midwest Belgian Beer Fest 2012 - Pours hazy yellow with an off-white head. The aroma is earthy, bright and spicy along with the rustic saison yeast notes. It has a medium, lightly rough body with mild sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with lightly toasted malt, earthiness and some bugginess. The finish adds some dried fruits. Decent saison.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft served in a pint glass at the brewpub. Pours a hazy orange color with a small cream-colored cap that sticks around for the whole ride. The aroma has nice farmhouse funk, orange citrus, floral notes, and sweet, bready malts. The flavor has a stronger hop component, with a bitter, citrus peel finish. Medium-bodied, with a bitter, bready mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. I liked this more than the Whale.
