3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours amber/orange with a tight off-white head. The aroma has lots of grapefruit and bright citrus, pine, light tropical hops and some caramel malt in the back offering a bit of sweetness to offset. Medium body thatís light for the style with a moderate amount of sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with a nice balance of caramel malt and piny/earthy hops. Then it really dries out and isnít very balanced - very hop heavy. The finish is woody / earthy / piny / dry grapefruit hoppiness and a bit of cracker taste from the malt.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tasted 7/29/10. Snifter from the Brewpub. Hazy and unfiltered with an orange amber hue. Clinging bone white head. Aromas of pine, citrus and orange zest. Good hoppy nose. Full bodied with a good sweet initial malt character followed by a substantial grapefruit bitterness. Smooth drinker and the unfiltered aspect really adds a good amount of body to the brew. Subtle candy sugar note. Solid grapefruit and pine in the hop component. Nice heft, but still easy drinking. Well done and super fresh!

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft served in a snifter at the brewery. Pours a mostly clear gold color with a small eggshell white head. Aroma of herbal hops, pine, orange citrus, and sweet malts. So fresh, simple, and nice. Flavor of pine resin, orange citrus, herbal and floral hops, sweet and pale malts. Similar to the nose, but not quite to the same level. Light-medium bodied, with fairly low carbonation for the style- this one goes down so, so easily. This was the first Six Row brew Iíd ever tried, and itís a really impressive one.
