Bomber from Wine & Cheese in Clayton, MO. Pours clear copper with a creamy/bubbly beige head. Lots of citrus in the aroma. Med body. Flavor is citrus/grapefruit rind over malt that is just barely withstanding the hop. Goes a little piney towards the finish. Why does everyone keep trying to do these hoppy DIPAs? Because they taste really really really good. Like this one.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with fair lacing. Moderate west coast hop aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. This is a good beer.

UPDATED: JAN 11, 2013 Bottle @ home, courtesy of Jetson. Thanks bro! A touch hazy, light toasted orange appearance with a big white head. Somewhat spicy, orange citrusy, a bit piney hoppy aroma. A touch cloying, quite sweet malty, big citrusy hoppy flavor with a touch of booze on the finish.

UPDATED: FEB 4, 2011 On draught at the brewpub, served in a snifter. This beer is a clear bright orange color with a medium foamy off-white head that diminishes slowly. Sticky rings of lacing. Piney hops aroma with notes of citrus and malt. Medium body with a moderately bitter hoppy character that has pine and citrus notes, along with a nice malty balance. The finish is hoppy with a citrus aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

22 oz. bottle, sent from tstockstrom (thanks Chuck), pours a hazy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is pretty typical for a IIPA, with pine and citrus hops, a bit of floral, and a big caramel malt backbone. Flavour is very bitter, with shitloads of citrusy hops, a big floral quality too, and a sufficient malt backbone. Hugely dominated by the citrus. Semi-sweet without destroying the hoppiness. Solid IIPA, but short of anything overly stimulating.

Bottle. Pours a clear orange gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a combination grapefruit, light pine and slightly sweet citrus with a light grain backbone. Flavor starts with pineapple that transforms to light citrus with a light grain finish.

Tap at Six Row. Clear orange pour with a frothy white head. Sharp pine aroma and taste. Touch of tropical fruit as well. Solid.

Draft served in a snifter at the brewery. Pours a mostly clear gold color with a small eggshell white head. Aroma of herbal hops, pine, orange citrus, and sweet malts. So fresh, simple, and nice. Flavor of pine resin, orange citrus, herbal and floral hops, sweet and pale malts. Similar to the nose, but not quite to the same level. Light-medium bodied, with fairly low carbonation for the style- this one goes down so, so easily. This was the first Six Row brew I’d ever tried, and it’s a really impressive one.
