Draft at the brewpub in August 2011. Appetizing nose of cloves and honey. A fairly full body but the taste is quite crisp and dry, just an impression of sweetness. A more interesting beer than I expected.

On tap at Six Row brewpub. Hazy amber with a thin white head. Aroma of honey, wheat, lemon and assorted citrus. A fair amount of honey comes through in the flavors with citrus, yeast and light noble hops. Mildly bitter with some honey on the backend. A decent concoction

Sampler at the brewpub. Pours a light tan color with a hazy white fluffy head. The aroma has a notice of banana, rich malt and local honey. The body is ok for the style. The flavor starts somewhat dry and the aroma is a bit on the grainy side. A very good beer.

On tap at Bigelo’s. Kind of dark golden with an off white frothy head that lasted a bit. Flavor offers honey sweetness and feel, nice crisp wheat, cloves, and a malt finish. A very pleasant beer.

Draft pint at the brewery. Pours a hazy, dull orange-gold with an inch-thick off-white head. Aroma of banana, wheat, honey, clove, sweet malts, and oats. The honey really starts to pop out of this when it warms a little. Flavor follows suit closely, and once again the honey becomes more active as it warms. This is really nicely balanced and easy to drink- very sessionable. Medium-full bodied, with a wheaty mouthfeel and low carbonation. Some stickiness but that doesn’t dominate the palate. Nice seasonal offering.

Tasted 7/15/10. Sample #1 from the Brewpub. Hazy with a golden hue. Webbed white head. Perfumy aromas with notes of clover honey and a grainy wheat character. Mild berry estery undertone. Light to medium bodied with a sweet flavor set against a mildly dry and grainy body. Mild tartness. Smooth with a nice sweet/dry complexity. Lightly toasted wheat malts. Mild strawberry undertone. Solid with a decent complexity. Nice and fresh!
