On tap at Six Row on Jan 11th. Pours a black color with tan head. Malty, roasted, anise, syrupy, chocolate, alcohol flavors. Meh.

On tap at the brewpub. Comes black with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, and spice. Taste is roasted malt, dark chocolate, spice, and alcohol. Pretty good.

February 12, 2013 - on tap at brewpub. Seemed to be a black pour with head that lasted and lacing. Roasted malt, chocolate, anise and some hops in aroma and taste. Did not care much for the anise and bitter finish in the end. Except for that a nice brew.

Tap @ Six Row. Pours a black appearance with a dark brown head. Chocolate, roasty, light earthy, anise aroma. Anise, dark chocolate, dark fruity, chocolate flavor. Eh.
