COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Modeled after a traditional American style Cream Ale, the Sunshine Slowdown is an easy drinking, lager-like Ale. Originally produced by ale breweries prior to Prohibition to compete with lagers of the time, it mimics the crisp, slightly fruity character of an American lager. Brewed with traditional ingredients including corn and American hops, grainy and floral flavors dominate the palate of this ale.

Creamy indeed. Vanilla and whipped cream taste on a pretty good lager. I like. Unusual. Had this on draft at six row brewery as part of a flight.

Clear, yellow pour with a rocky, white head. The aroma has corn and mild floral hops. It has a light, smooth body with average carbonation. The taste is sweet with a quick, clean finish.

Draft at Six Row. Pours a pale, clear gold with rising carbonation bubbles and a finger of white head that laces the glass. The aroma is light, with minerals, lemon, pale malts, and wheat. Flavor of straw, pale malts, minerals, lemon, and wheat. Not as sweet as some cream ales. Light-bodied, with medium-high carbonation and a crisp mouthfeel. I could see this working well as a summer can.

16oz can, shared with robotopera. Purchased from Lukas Liquor while in Missouri during my stay for RBSG. Mostly clear pale yellow color. Smooth kind of crisp lighter carbonation. Light slick. Lighter body. Little white head. Some bits of lace. Mild flavor on this. Generally more a white bready flavor. Some corn. Moderate sweet, light bitter. Decent, mildly hoppy light easy-drinking session cream ale. Beautiful can, though.

Fourth rate of this uber rare whæl. Pour is very clear light yellow with a large white head. Nose is neutral. Taste is slightly corny with not much else at all. Very very neutral and fault free. Can only hate it for the style.

Pour is a bright clear yellow with a small white head. Aroma is dry lager malts and not much else. Flavor is mostly the adjuncts used. Big corn flavor with cereal grain and finishes on the sweeter side. When you want something light and crisp on a summer day.

Sampled at the W&C Beer Fest 2014. It poured a golden yellow color with a small white head. The aroma was of sweet malts, some grass, hay, bread and a little musky hops. The taste was of bread, wet hay, light malts and a little hops. Nice.
