3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
22oz bomber thanks to strykzone via local swap 5.2. Pours a dark brown color with a small frothy tan head. Aroma of light roasted malt, vanilla, and slight funk. Taste of roasted and caramel malt, ash, a hint of vanilla, and a weird sourness.

1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
On tap. A very dark color with a thin beige head. Hardly any vanilla detected in the aroma. An initial taste of vegetables and a hint of dental numbing gel, but not in a bad way. Vanilla flavor disappears entirely after the first few sips. An OK porter with a slight bitter aftertaste. Would not drink again.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bomber. Black pour that has a bit of red. An uneven beige head. I smell light roasted notes with beans. Vanilla is tasted along with earth. Some hops add a bit of tartness and bitterness. A bit of coffee. Mid glass some persistent sourness pops up. This has a thin feel. The flavor is on the thin side, too. The finish is chocolate vegetables. Not a favorite.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. It poured a dark brown color with a small off-white head. The aroma was of vanilla, cream and mild carbonation. The taste was of vanilla beans, and a smooth roasty maltiness. Not bad, just not for me.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
February 12, 2013 - on tap at brewpub. Dark brown pour with nice head and lacing. Just like the regular porter but with vanilla in the aroma and taste. It seemed a tad thinner but was smoother than the regular.
