3.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Not bad but not great. The chocolate taste saves this brew, but the flavor is not full enough. There is something faint about the recipe. Something is missing. The bitter sweet concoction with subtle carbonation is not a favorite of mine. I expected this to be less hoppy yet I get hops on the aftertaste. The abv does also save this porter. I feel that this is an an ample adult beverage and yet I have no interest in purchasing more of these cans.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
this doesnít taste like 10% abv, and iíd be happy if it were 1/2 that strength. what makes this beer great is the strong but smooth dark, robust qualities it has. sure, itís got the nice coffee notes. but also a subtle coco flavor, some vanilla, serious malty character. it reminds me a bit of pťchť mortale. i love the fact that the can looks like an iced coffee can from starbucks! i *have* had mixed cans, though. some have been brilliant, and some have been a bit harsh. a friend reported the same. all in all, though, probably my favorite six point beer.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from a 12 ounce can into a Fort Myers Brewing Company snifter. Best before July 10, 2013 printed on bottom of can.
Appearance: Pours a very dark brown, almost black color with a 2 finger foamy grey-tan head. Decent lacing.
Smell: Mildly sweet cocoa and coffee with piney hops in the background.
Taste: Sweet cocoa and a touch of molasses up front followed by roasted coffee and a nice woody character in the middle before ending with a high amount of bitter piney hops at the finish. Aftertaste is roasted, very bitter and quite long-lasting.
Mouthfeel: Full-bodied with a fairly high amount of carbonation. Not quite as thick and creamy as I would have wanted. The hop oils really coat the mouth.
Drinkability: Good drinkability. This is a sipper, but itís one youíll enjoy until the last drop.
Overall: Very good beer overall. I like what they were going for with this one. While I donít think itís a home run, itís still a beer I would definitely recommend trying, especially to the hopheads out there.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Can from Fermentation. Deep brown pour with a thick tan head. Coffee nose with chocolate, roasted malts and milk creaminess. Flavor is very fresh ground coffee, chewy bitter chocolate, roasted malts and a bit of bitterness. Thick, not overbearingly sweet body with a dry roasted finish. Pretty damn tasty.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nutty, toasty-roasty aroma with some dark chocolate. Good can, very dark beer, huge tan head. Had to wait a while for the foam to subside in the snifter. The foam is cocoa-bitter. Very smooth, rich. Lots of dark cocoa, sturdy coffee flavors, medium sweetness, some milkiness. Medium-heavy, unctuous body, lasting bitterness with a strong bittersweet chocolate character. ABV is well-masked. Really good. ABC Liquors, Betton.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
The aroma is very toasted with coffee, chocolate, and molasses. The appearance is dark red brown with a large foamy head. The taste is like the aroma but has a bitter finish. The palate is smooth. Overall a very interesting beer and if it wasnít so astringent it would be a top 5ver.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
This is nice ... *really* nice. Smooth. First impression is sweet. Upon more contemplation I am getting chocolate and coffee notes as well. Cannot believe the ABV is so high for a porter -- incredibly well hidden. Did I mention it’s smooth? Would love to see a stout version. As an aside, still not clear on the difference between a Baltic porter and that which does not harken in spirit from the Baltic region. Cest la vie.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours an almost opaque brownish black from the can with fluffy cream head that dissipates to leave good lacing. Aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, and roasted malts. Taste is coffee, chocolate, coffee, soy, and more coffee, with a lingering coffee bitterness. Solid, no hint of the booze.
