COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Take thou also unto thee wheat, and barley, and beans... and put them in one vessel. The beans of bygone brewers, united with cacao and coffee, to create a trinity of roasted, rich, and savory flavors.

12oz redbull can into a snifter. this pours a dark dark black with a slightly off white head. Lacing left from the fluffy head and nice ring of bubbles left in the wake. The aromas of strong coffee and straight cacao nibs. its interesting because you dont think at all beer or even imperial porter if you close your eyes and take a whiff, its more like sitting in little coffee shop. with the first taste i get no beer and no alcohol, i get coffee, slight bits or burnt grain, chocolate, almost a vanilla. the coffee and roast is overwhelming. the body is lighter than one would expect especially for those that judge beers by the color. if not for the overwhelming flavor this is an easy and quick sipper till the abv sneaks up on you and you slow it down. overall this is a pretty good beer that i had no idea about when getting this last single can. i think if it was a little cheaper and more available it would stay in my rotation as long as possible.

Can from Premier. Pours thick chocolate brown. Lovely Aroma of coffee and chocolate. Long lasting head. Creamy mouthfeel, toffee. Coffee works, just why so high an ABV? Strong porter, yes. Good drinkability. Baltic porter?I don’t know.

Can. 3/24/13. Pours opaque brown-black with a thick fluffy beige head. Aroma is dry; vanilla, cocoa, spicy, bitter, bread. Taste is complex; bitter chocolate, unsweetened vanilla, coffee, spicy, long bitter chocolate finish and some booze. Very dry; very bitter. While the alcohol is well-hidden, the flavors on their own are pretty aggressive. This porter caught me by surprise and not really in the best of ways. Aggressive but still very flavorful. I wish I could score this higher.

12oz. Can. Dark brown pour with a thick tan froth. Love the aromatics on this beer. Huge well rounded roasty coffee nose without any harshness. Flavor is similar to cold brewed coffee with a light roasted character and minimal bitterness. Some cocoa notes in the background as well. Only real knock on this beer is that the body is too thin and watery for the big coffee punch. Still an enjoyable beer that I’m glad I got to try.

Pouring at the Night of the Barrels at Extreme Beer Fest. Pours a clear brown with garnet tones and a thin beige head. Roast, coffee on the nose. Chocolate, coffee, roast. Very nice mouthfeel, velvety smooth. Sweet cocoa, roast.

Dark black pour. Completely opaque. Thick khaki head with good lacing. Very chocolaty aroma. Plenty of roastiness. Noticeable alcohol aroma. Medium to thick mouthfeel. Very roasty oaky beginning. Very chocolaty middle and finishes with coffee. Can tell its cold brewed coffee. No bitterness. Mild booziness throughout. ---Rated via iPhone

Pour is dark brown with a nice frothy tan head. Nose is dark chocolate, coffee, malt and roasted goodness. Taste is bitter at first from the hops but mostly black coffee. Hint of sweetness with bitter dark chocolate as well. Mouthfeel is medium and lively with nice carbonation. Certainly a lighter porter and not nearly as viscous as a stout. Nice drinkable beer with no real alcohol burn from the 10% abv. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
