Take thou also unto thee wheat, and barley, and beans... and put them in one vessel. The beans of bygone brewers, united with cacao and coffee, to create a trinity of roasted, rich, and savory flavors.

(12oz can) pours a very deep espresso brown, huge thick creamy head that lasts a good while and has excellent lacing. Nose of oats, fresh coffee and cream, rich like coffee ice cream, chocolate. Taste of cocoa, sweet coffee, wheat or oats (some smooth grain I canít identify through the delicious coffee), lightly roasty, bit acidic but also smooth and creamy. Gonna go on record and say this is one of the better coffee beers Iíve had in recent memory.

Can from Mariís. Pours brown with red around the edges. There is a large light brown head, plenty of lacing. The aroma has a lot of chocolate, some coffee, roasty notes. The taste has a lot of dark, bitter chocolate, burnt coffee grinds, and a really rough finish. For a 10% beer, the alcohol presence is not surprising; however, the flavor of this beer is not strong enough to support it / balance it. I donít get the hype, at all.

12oz can. I sort of hate how Sixpoint beers labels fail to communicate the style of beer. Moving on...Thick unfiltered brown body, lacy off-white head. Sweet brown chocolate, caramel, coffee aroma. Sort of like a massive brown ale as much as a Baltic Porter, lots of sweet sugary specialty malts, but displays a nice balance too, with some mild spicy balancing hops somewhere in there. Sweet, syrupy finish. The sweetness is overwhelming after a point, A great dessert beer.

Aroma: bitter and sweet chocolate notes, espresso, some roast, slight sweetness. Appearance: deep brown, good clarity, big mousse of a khaki head, excellent retention and lots of lacing. Flavor: lots of chocolate and coffee, some roast and roasty bitterness, toffee, some astringent bitterness in the finish, smores, medium bitterness. Palate: medium to medium/full body, medium carbonation, smooth and silky. Overall: lots of great coffee and chocolate notes, a touch rough in the finish, but quite nice overall.

Can. Pours a dark brown with one finger of beige head. Strong coffee presence, with some dark chocolate and roasted malts. Good coffee flavor without being too bitter.

Can. Pours a dark brown with a pretty decent tan head. Aromas are of light cocoa and coffee with dark fruit. I should say that the aromas are really washed out. Donít know if it is me or the beer, but Iím pulling at straws on a decent description of something so faint. Flavor, on the other hand, is not subtle. A nice blast of chocolate and coffee with a thick texture and a little creaminess on the tail end make this a winner on the first sip. Tastes like a nice mocha or cappuccino. Yum!

Can from Dutchís. Pours a dark brown color with a medium sized creamy khaki head that leaves some spotty lacing. The aroma is roasted malts, dark chocolate, some sweeter milk chocolate, coffee with some dry earthy notes as well. The flavor has a nice roasted malt, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, coffee blend. Some black coffee earthy bitterness to the finish. Medium plus bodied smooth and on the dry side. Not much sign of the 10%. One of the best Iíve had from Sixpoint.

Dark with a creamy, dark head. Aroma is like a fresh cup of coffee. Roasted malts, chocolate, light earth tones, too. Medium to full body. Flavor is coffee, roasted malts, cocoa, some dark fruits, tobacco. Very good if you like the coffee beers.

Black pour with a khaki head. Nose is coffee, roasted malts, more coffee, dry, and crackers. Excellent on the palate, bitter coffee upfront, backed with heavy roasted malts, light chocolate, bitter, more coffee, and light alcohol in the finish.

Pours a medium brown with a 2-fingered tan head. Smells of coffee, chocolate, tobacco. Taste is sweet and moderately bitter - coffee and sweet chocolate, toasted nuts.
