Take thou also unto thee wheat, and barley, and beans... and put them in one vessel. The beans of bygone brewers, united with cacao and coffee, to create a trinity of roasted, rich, and savory flavors.

Can. Very dark opaque brown pour with a tall, frothy brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, soft coffee notes and caramel. Taste is rather boozy with roasted malt, coffee, cocoa, dark chocolate, caramel and toasted grains. Body is medium with a creamy carbonation and a strong, boozy warmth. Not noticeable in the aroma but way up front on the palate. Ends with more booze notes, chocolate, cocoa, soft coffee roasted malt, caramel, and toasted grains.

Poured at Sixpoint tasting at Whole Foods Bowery Beer Room in NYC today. Light brown in color with thick white head. Aroma of coffe/espresso beans. The coffee really comes throught in the taste with hints of chocolate. I really enjoyed this beer.

Light brown, 3 finger coffee colored head. smells of espresso beans, rye malts, smoke and oak. Taste is very coffee like. lots of cold brewed coffee, chocolate covered espresso beans but very little malt to back it up. very thin and light mouthfeel, roast almost burnt coffee finish.

Earthy, beany, chocolately and well worth the wait! Great new comer to the market! It's what diesel should be! I do get a watery forward but beans after taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from 12oz red bull style can. Color is opaque dark brown... Like a brown ale. Minimal head disappears very quick. Smells of day old coffee pot, a bit of vanilla, and some resinous hops. Taste is cold coffee, more pronounced vanilla, and resin. There is a bit of alcohol hotness to it but otherwise well masked. Kind of a watery mouth feel. Different but tasty.

Black beer, with off white head, lots of lacing. Nose is coco, coffee, and chocolate. Medium to heavy body, some spiciness, definite coffee, big kick up front with a smooth finish. Becomes more mouth watering as it warms. Good beer, unique, but complexity lacks.

Pours a dark brown with an off white almost brown eggshell colored head. Heavy notes of coffee with a hint of chocolate. There’s lots of alcohol in the aroma. To a fault in my opinion. The palate is slightly thin. I wish this was a regular porter with the same coffee flavor and not the booziness.

12 ounce can, best before 10JUL2013 (as stamped on bottom of can). Served in a snifter, the beer pours very dark brown with about a half inch tan head that didn’t stick around for long. There is a good amount of lacing. It smells like coffee, roasted malt, bittersweet chocolate, caramel and some nuts. It tastes like coffee, chocolate (milk and bittersweet), cream, nuts, roasted malt and some vanilla. It’s a little more bitter and roasty than sweet tasting. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s a bit creamy and has moderate carbonation. I think this is a good brew, although I’d like it better if it was in 16 ounce cans instead. $8.99 a 4-pack.

Wow!!! Nicely poured dark brown with two inch khaki brown head and nice lacing down the glass. Smells of rich vanilla chocolate coffee and has a very similar taste but just a little to harsh on the bittering hops. Overall this is a pretty good beer I just wish it would leave less of a bitter lingering aftertaste.

can, pours dark brown with a nice khaki head and leaves very nice lacing in my snifter. Great coffee aroma, well its more a creamy cappuccino aroma, with chocolate and some oaky vanilla. Flavor is bittersweet chocolate, coffee, some slight woody oak notes. a bit thin but a good brew overall.
