3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Can. Moderate to heavy toasted dark bread and mild coffee for the malt, light to moderate resin and earth for the hops and yeast, with notes of vanilla, charcoal and alcohol giving it an overall scotch aroma. Head is small, frothy/creamy, light beige, with fair lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is dark brown. Flavor starts lightly to moderately acidic, then finishes lightly acidic and moderately bitter. Palate is medium to full, watery with a lively carbonation, a moderately alcoholic and lightly dry finish. A pretty good beer, but as a Strong Porter it seemed a little bland to me.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tallahassee, Fl - ABC Fine Wine & Spirits - skinny little 12 oz can. Dark, dark brown leading to black with a thick khaki colored head that clings to the side of the glass. Aroma has hints of coffee, licorice, and creosote. Flavor is bold and strong with a strong alcohol bite. Hints of licorice, baked brown bread, unsweetened bakerís chocolate and a bit of booziness in the back end. Mouthfeel has a nice slickness to it that makes this very drinkable. Wondering why Sixpoint does not put the style of beer on the can.....

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Chocolate, coffee, and a little metallic funk in the aroma. Rich, sweet flavor with vanilla, coffee, and chocolate. Coffee bitterness, alcohol, and a little grassy hops in the finish. Very good.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Can courtesy of Nate. Pours dark brown/black with tan, frothy head, about 1 finger, lingering. Nose is lots of coffee, some mild sweet notes, brown sugar. Brown sugar and roasted barley dominate, with some coffee and mild astringency. odd, coffee oil after mixes with the astringency. Slight notes of hop brightness come forward at the end with a moderate bitter. not bad.

Can. Dark brown, medium large tan head. Aroma coffee, vanilla. Medium body. Some alcohol. Flavor is pretty sweet but acceptably so. As you would expect itís predominantly coffee and chocolate, with some roasted malts and caramel. Interesting and good.
