3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Can. Orange-amber with a short, foamy beige head. Aroma is odd. Herbal hops and citrus fruit with a touch of pine come through as does a stewed vegetable and spice. Taste is spicy hops, soft citrus, light spice, soft herbal notes, and faint caramel. Body is medium with a strong, dense carbonation. Finishes with more spicy hops, citrus fruit, caramel, spices, herbal notes and sweet malt. Not really picking up on the pumpkin in this.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
16 oz. can. Pours a very hazy orange with a moderate linen white head that lasted nearly till mid-glass and left partial lace. The aroma is decidedly hoppy; gee what a surprise from Sixpoint. Ample pine with some spicy notes picked up as well. No sign of any pumpkin. The flavor is an almost immediate crush of pine, black pepper (especially after the swallow) and to a lesser extent, malt. If there is pumpkin in here, it is completely overwhelmed and is non-existent.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Poured a hazy orange color with a large white stable head. Aroma has lots of vegetables and spices. Some interesting yeast notes in the aroma as well. Some tartness. Taste has a large amount of vegetables with lots of spices. Taste is pretty dry, and a little thin. Finish is pretty hoppy with some pine needles. Overall it’s interesting, but I don’t like the vegetable flavors as much, and it’s a little too dry.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
16 oz can from EZ. Poured a murky solid orange with a small foamy white head. Aroma is spicey with pepper, wet bread, vomit. Medium bodied with strong carbonation, chewy actually but with a lot of stingy carbonation. Flavor is all over the place, notes of pepper, old toast, bad vanilla, veggies, wax. Blah.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
16oz can. This is a pumpkin beer? Pours a hazy amber with a medium white head. Mostly pepper in the nose. Taste is peppery and slightly herbal with maybe a slight hint of hops. Light/medium body with a spicy finish. Little to no pumpkin flavor at all.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Served on draft at Beer Run. Pours a hazy amber color with a medium creamy white head. Good head retention. Big spicy, peppery hop aroma with faint bits of pumpkin. The taste is huge herbal and peppery hop notes with a mild pumpkin and spice finish. Medium bodied. Doesn’t come across much like a pumpkin ale.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hard to rate this as a spice/pumpkin/autumn beer. It pours a nice looking orange with a small lacing head. The aroma is very hoppy. A little bit of a malt background but a detected no pumpkin or spices. Same with the flavor. Mostly hops with a bit of malt to balance. Nice hop finish, bitter and lasting. I did like it though I would think it was more of an APA or IPA.

slightly disappointed by this. good aroma, nice look. slightly thin body, a bit boozy but decent hop flavor. mild pumpkin, some spice that come across too soapy. good offering, but not what I was hoping for.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: OCT 9, 2011 Sixpoint must be pretty proud of this, because they sent out a promotional video featuring the Oregon hop grower who provided them with the wet hops they used. It smells pretty green, and has a dark orange pour and a persistent 1-finger head. A grainy, smoky flavor - it is not too rich, and is maybe a tad thin - but this is still good. It is not a marzen, but more like an APA. I’m not sure why RB is calling it a spice/herb/veg brew - is there supposed to be some pumpkin in this? It could use a slightly bigger malt body, but I could see this becoming popular. The aftertaste is earthy, tangy, and refreshing. Another fine release from 6pt.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a hazy copper with a nice lingering head. Aroma is flowery and citrusy with more of a grapefruit smell. It doesn’t taste like an autumn beer. It has more of a sour taste with a lingering hop bitterness. I found the beer a little unbalanced and not what I’m looking for in a fall beer. However it’s got a nice bite and a little spiciness.
