3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured from can, clear dark orange with a 2 finger white head. The aroma is very floral with some spices in the background, i picked up cinnamon at first followed by nutmeg, mainly citrus hops on this one. Flavor up front is pretty bitter followed by some citrus fruits also some pine on the back end, the spices fall somewhere in the middle there but are ever so present. Decent spiced ipa here thats what i am going to call it, the body is medium i am getting no pumpkin in the taste but it is adding the body to the mouthfeel its definitely got a thick mouthfeel that just rolls off your tongue. For an ipa this is a good one i wouldve liked more pumpkin and spice but this is a nice change to all the other fall spiced pumpkin ales out there. I think an imperial version of this would be amazing, the hops and mild spice do blend together well here. Over all glad to have tried this.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
16 oz. can. Bright orange pour with a thick off white head. Aroma of citrus and piney hops, mild sweetness, maybe a touch of spice. Flavor is nicely hoppy, but gets a bit salty, kind of funky, and kind of fatty, like a yam. It’s medium bodied. KInd of weird. Reminds me of this chick TheDude used to date . . .

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Can. Pours a nice copper orange with a lingering cream off white head. Aroma is hoppy, mostly pine with some aggressive herbal and a touch fruity, slight stink, caramel sweetness. Flavor has the same hop character, some funk and herbal, piney and a biscuity malt base. Finishes somewhat sweet with a lingering herbal hop bitterness. Medium body and sharp carbonation.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sample at Snallygaster DC event on October 13th, 2012. I’ve been wanting to try this, as I enjoy Sixpoint’s beer. I really appreciated this, as it’s a more hopped up version of a pumpkin beer, which a lot of times are the same style too often.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
The beer pours an orange color with a white head. The aroma is very heavy on the pine notes, with a hint of biscuit malt. I don’t get any pumpkin or spice notes in the aroma, which is disappearing. The flavor is more of the same. I get a ton of orange citrus and pine hops, as well as a little bit of grass. There is a hint of toffee, but once again no pumpkin or spice notes. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Tough to know how to rate this one. On one hand, it is a pretty good IPA. On the other hand, when I rate it as a pumpkin beer, it falls well short of the mark. Since the label talks about both pumpkin and wet hops, I will just rate it on how well I enjoyed it, rather than how well it fit any specific style.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a deep amber color with a strong, pillowy head. Lot’s of citrus hops in the aroma with some faint roasty notes and hop bitterness in the finish. Sixpoint claims there is pumpkin and pumpkin pie spices in this beer, but I don’t taste anything but the Citra hops they used this year. Smooth, moderate carbonation.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a nice clear orange copper color with a big frothy head that gets rocky and laces nicely..... sticks around for quite a while. On the nose its a touch of spicy malt and a little citrus earthy hoppy goodness. On the palate I get alot more hop profile than spice, malt or pumpkin.. in fact I dont get any pumpkin at all except for a bit of creaminess on the mouthfeel that is quite appealing and works nicely with the big citrus, earth driven hop flavors. Nice seasonal.

Golden amber with good, foamy, off-white head / Lightly sweet, mild nose of pine, pumpkin and citrus / Light to medium body, a touch watery, mostly dry with bitter finish / Very dry, light flavors of pine, pumpkin, and grapefruit / Astringent and crisp, lacking in sufficient fruit.
