2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Best by: 29SEP11
A: Toasted apricot ale with a single finger of light maple foam which falls slowly to a sheet of the same. Rings of lace above this ale of limited clarity.
S: Lots of soily, oily hops, not particularly intriguing. Some hints of grapefruit. The hop profile seems pretty similar to Righteous Ale (their Rye).
T: Grassy and grainy. The malts are more prominent than I would prefer in a good IPA. This is improperly balanced for an American IPA, reminds me more of an English IPA.
M: Medium bodied with moderate carb. Nice dry finish.
O: Nothing special here.
Serving type: can

Aroma is light. Great pour with good head. Not overwhelming hops, slightly bitter with strong citrus taste.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
16oz can. Pours a slightly hazy burnt orange color with a small foamy off white head. Aroma of old grapefruit skins, malty caramel, and piney hops. Taste is much the same. Heavy on the caramel malts, grapefruit pulp, citrus zest, and pine.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A little watery on the palate and carbonation died fast. Malty bread like aroma. Not much hops in the aroma. Flavor is piney resinous hops with some malt. Had resin yesterday, so it doesn't seem super piney relative to that, but definitely piney and resinous. Descent but not a top ipa.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Malty aroma with distinct orange blossom and citrus as well. Cloudy orange-ish with big foamy white head. Big malty backbone, with sweet citrus notes that push through.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft. Pours cloudy copper gold with a thin fizzy white head and decent lacing. Dry feel with a lingering aftertaste. Tastes strongly of pine, some grapefruit, some banana and bubblegum, also floral. Low/medium body and carbonation. Smells musky and like vegetables.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured an orangish color with aromas of orange, light lemon, and some hops. Flavors are the same, light grapefruit bitterness in the aftertaste.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tannish white head, and great orange and amber color. Aroma is lacking a bit, mild hoppiness and faint sweetness to it, but not much more to it. Mouthfeel was wonderful, a like bite for the hops, covered my tongue and mouth in a malty sweetness. Excellent beer overall, really looking forward to the Resin from these guys, and maybe the 3 bean too.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Orange pour with a pretty thick white/tan head. Aroma is strong citrus - orange, tangerine and lemon. Crazy hop flavor, lots of orange and grapefruit with some lemon zest and even a slighty spicy malt flavor with a nice, stick, hoppy resin. Checks all the boxes for a great IPA. Love this brewery.
