Sixpoint Bengali Tiger is reminiscent of the century-old English IPA. In my perspective, many current IPAs suffer from lacking substance; unbalanced by a hoppy assertiveness that is not substantiated by a strong foundation of rich malt flavors. Our interpretation uses the highest-quality, floor-malted base malt, which lends a full-bodied and rich caramel flavor. We mash at high temperatures and add generous amounts of specialty malts to further emphasize a strong foundation of malt as leverage for our generous additions of hops… Which are indeed generous. We use a total of three different hop strains, and add a total of six different additions throughout the process. The Bengali Tiger has a hoppy snap upfront, but strides at a steady pace, and finishes balanced. The signature characteristic of the Tiger is the aroma… we use massive quantities of whole East Kent Goldings hops to dry hop in our conditioning tanks. The result? The essential oils from the hops are an enticing treat before every sip. Notice the lacing of stripes around the pint glass as you finish your glass; it’s the mark of the Tiger.

Can is stamped ""BB17NOV15". Clear orange-amber, very thin head. Smell is very muted - some grain, faint hops, spice, citrus peel. Caramel-orange flavor, lemongrass, herbal, vegetal flavor. Very smooth, crisp body. Basically it’s an understated but very well done IPA in a style that seems overlooked these days.

Burk från craftbeer/Galatea. Smak och doft av humle, malt, karamell, grapefrukt med toner av tall. Välbalanserad, rund och len IPA med fina fruktiga smaker. Lätt kropp, men inte blaskig, fin sötma och beska. Fin fint!

12oz can pours golden, bubbly and filtered with a small white head than dissipates quick. Smells of fruity hops mixed in with english style malt. Taste follows, fruity hops are overshadowed by english malt. Definitely an english style IPA, rather tasty and easily session-able.

Dark golden with a white head - Fruity hop aroma - Good malt body to support a nice hop profile with fruityness and some hints of pine with a nice bitterness - The hops and bitterness goes into the finish - This was nice

Pours an amber yellow with a great white head which slowly recedes to a lacing. Aroma is citrusy and slightly malty. Taste is bitter hops, slight pleasant citric fruits and then some caramel/breadiness. Fairly average.

UPDATED: FEB 12, 2015 Can from The Green Dragon, Leek (JDW) Pours a clear pale amber with a thick creamy white head. Aroma of pine, grapefruit and a hint of caramel. Taste of caramel, citrus and zesty grapefruit bitterness. Medium carbonation and a long, dry hop bitterness in the finish. Nice.

Riktigt god.
