Sixpoint Bengali Tiger is reminiscent of the century-old English IPA. In my perspective, many current IPAs suffer from lacking substance; unbalanced by a hoppy assertiveness that is not substantiated by a strong foundation of rich malt flavors. Our interpretation uses the highest-quality, floor-malted base malt, which lends a full-bodied and rich caramel flavor. We mash at high temperatures and add generous amounts of specialty malts to further emphasize a strong foundation of malt as leverage for our generous additions of hops… Which are indeed generous. We use a total of three different hop strains, and add a total of six different additions throughout the process. The Bengali Tiger has a hoppy snap upfront, but strides at a steady pace, and finishes balanced. The signature characteristic of the Tiger is the aroma… we use massive quantities of whole East Kent Goldings hops to dry hop in our conditioning tanks. The result? The essential oils from the hops are an enticing treat before every sip. Notice the lacing of stripes around the pint glass as you finish your glass; it’s the mark of the Tiger.

Pours golden with huge white head, That lasts a long time. The aroma is huge citrus, grapefruit, flowers, malty. The flavor is malty up front with some caramel, then hige on citrus grapefruit at the end, some lemon. Balanced. Thed bitterness is not as strong as I like. Overall very refreshing would recommend

Poured from 12 oz. can. Lightly hazy, golden orange with a 3-finger, billowing, off-white head and very good lacing. Aroma of mandarin orange, grapefruit, pine, tropical fruit and caramel. Taste of lemon, pine, grass, grapefruit, spice and pineapple. Medium body and medium carbonation. After an impressive appearance and a rather nice fruity aroma, The flavor failed to meet my expectations. Mind you, this is a quite drinkable IPA. But, it is no where near as good as I had expected. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nice aroma of caramel malt and piney hops. Flavor’s similar to nose, slightly more bitter than sweet and understated overall. Soft palate. Nice brew.

Guldgul, disig. I doften finns blommor, örter och en dov fruktighet. Smaken är maltig med lite söta frukter, örter, bra lite dov efterbeska. Mycket mer engelsk än amerikansk i stilen. Riktigt god.

Can@home, from Wine Spot, Cleveland, USA. Medium/strong natural, aroma of over aged, still sweet mango. Deeper orange color with no head and hazy liquid. Medium/strong taste with organic bit sour nuances of over aged mango and some malts. Balanced. Medium taste spectrum and long slightly dry aftertaste with malts and a hint of hops. Medium/light body with light carbonation. Overall, nicely organic and strong taste though bit simple.
