Sixpoint Bengali Tiger is reminiscent of the century-old English IPA. In my perspective, many current IPAs suffer from lacking substance; unbalanced by a hoppy assertiveness that is not substantiated by a strong foundation of rich malt flavors. Our interpretation uses the highest-quality, floor-malted base malt, which lends a full-bodied and rich caramel flavor. We mash at high temperatures and add generous amounts of specialty malts to further emphasize a strong foundation of malt as leverage for our generous additions of hops… Which are indeed generous. We use a total of three different hop strains, and add a total of six different additions throughout the process. The Bengali Tiger has a hoppy snap upfront, but strides at a steady pace, and finishes balanced. The signature characteristic of the Tiger is the aroma… we use massive quantities of whole East Kent Goldings hops to dry hop in our conditioning tanks. The result? The essential oils from the hops are an enticing treat before every sip. Notice the lacing of stripes around the pint glass as you finish your glass; it’s the mark of the Tiger.

@ Beer Ditch 14-11-22: ganska diskret doft. Smaken är lite besk och inte så där jättestor. Lite humle, lite malt ... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone ---- Soberness not garanteed!

On tap. Very clear pale golden color. Small hear and ok lacing. Aroma is solid citrus hops character (orange and lemon) and malty biscuit aroma. Flavor is hops, citrus, lemon. Little bit of malt to balance. Long bitter hop finish. Not bad.

A solid IPA, nothing too special with this IPA. Good hop notes with a malt background, which lingers for a little while on the palate. Solid

25oz can. Pours a clear bright orange color with a white head. Nice lacing on the glass. Nice malt aroma and hops. The flavor is excellent. For me spot on with an English style ipa. Perfectly balanced with malts and hops. This you could drink all day long. Love the flavors.

Hazy copper with a big tight head. Aroma of peach and pine, some tropical notes. Taste bitter and crisp, but with a metallic edge. Firm bitterness the whole way through. Overall pretty nice IPA

Really like this brew, and love its complexity and the hoppy overall taste, which is balanced by the malt. Can from JDW Lancaster poured with a slightly cloudy appearance when held up to the light, and a fairly brisk off-white head. Initial feeling of hops, followed by a malty mid, and a quite long balanced finish.
