COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sixpoint Bengali Tiger is reminiscent of the century-old English IPA. In my perspective, many current IPAs suffer from lacking substance; unbalanced by a hoppy assertiveness that is not substantiated by a strong foundation of rich malt flavors. Our interpretation uses the highest-quality, floor-malted base malt, which lends a full-bodied and rich caramel flavor. We mash at high temperatures and add generous amounts of specialty malts to further emphasize a strong foundation of malt as leverage for our generous additions of hops Which are indeed generous. We use a total of three different hop strains, and add a total of six different additions throughout the process. The Bengali Tiger has a hoppy snap upfront, but strides at a steady pace, and finishes balanced. The signature characteristic of the Tiger is the aroma we use massive quantities of whole East Kent Goldings hops to dry hop in our conditioning tanks. The result? The essential oils from the hops are an enticing treat before every sip. Notice the lacing of stripes around the pint glass as you finish your glass; its the mark of the Tiger.

Cask at Spuyten. Aroma had graitfruit, citrus and caramel. There were various hop varities as well which I do not quite understand. Taste was mainly graitfruit and citrus. A bit too bitter on cask. I think a color temperature would have been better. Palate was overly bitter but still good. I would not have guessed that this was an English IPA based on trying it on cask. If I try it on tap the experience might be different. Good beer.

Aroma: citrus, honey, some grass. Medium intencity Taste: incredible mix of sweet, bitter and sour flavors. From the start it taste like sweet malt and honey. In the middle its distinctively hoppy with grass and pine notes. In the end unveils its citrus heart. Great beer

12 oz. can poured into a tulip. Pours light amber/copper with a solid one finger white head. Head grudgingly recedes leaving tiger stripes of lace. Citrus and pine resin aroma, quite sharp. Taste is hop forward with a good amount of malt balance. Id say bitter on the tongue with a slight sweetness on the back end. Medium bodied with a lingering bitterness.

Just about clear gold with a one-finger pure white head, decent retention and sticky rings of lace. Citrus and resin aromas jump out front with support from caramel and hints of earth and medicine. Crisp hop bitterness plays off a smooth malt backbone. Medium body, generous carbonation, sticky creamy mouthfeel and a crisp finish. Much closer to a West Coast IPA than an English IPA, as the malt was rather muted.
