COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sixpoint Bengali Tiger is reminiscent of the century-old English IPA. In my perspective, many current IPAs suffer from lacking substance; unbalanced by a hoppy assertiveness that is not substantiated by a strong foundation of rich malt flavors. Our interpretation uses the highest-quality, floor-malted base malt, which lends a full-bodied and rich caramel flavor. We mash at high temperatures and add generous amounts of specialty malts to further emphasize a strong foundation of malt as leverage for our generous additions of hops… Which are indeed generous. We use a total of three different hop strains, and add a total of six different additions throughout the process. The Bengali Tiger has a hoppy snap upfront, but strides at a steady pace, and finishes balanced. The signature characteristic of the Tiger is the aroma… we use massive quantities of whole East Kent Goldings hops to dry hop in our conditioning tanks. The result? The essential oils from the hops are an enticing treat before every sip. Notice the lacing of stripes around the pint glass as you finish your glass; it’s the mark of the Tiger.

16oz can. Poured medium orange with a sticky, mostly white head. The aroma picked up earth, citrus, and grassy hoppage over soft bread and caramel malts.. a little warm on the back of the nose.. well-balanced. The flavor found biscuit and caramel maltage at the core, with grassy and citrus bitterness around.. sharp and kind of peppery on the long, grainy finish.. a bit harsh. Medium-bodied with rolling carbonation on the palate.. OK-ish balance, but it went downhill after the nose.

Pours a very bright and cloudy orange with a white head. Aroma is dominant in pine, while containing pineapple and pine as well. It is enticing, but it isn’t nearly as robust as I was expecting. The taste is big on fruit. Orange, apricot, pineapple are easily recognized. There is also an unusual toasty, cereal flavor in here as well. How odd. I can best describe it as bug spray. In fact, along with orange and apricot, this is what makes up much of the aftertaste. Medium bodied, somewhat sticky in texrture, with some good carbonation in here. I have to say that I was expecting more here. I found the taste to be quite funky.

Tap @ Tmac, John’s Creek. Orange pour. Aroma of resiny pine & citrus. Sticky malt body. Sweet malt backbone, resiny hop bite. Finishes with a lingering citrus rind / pine sap bitterness. A really really good IPA. (3704)

16oz can poured into glass. Aroma is pungent with pine, resin, and floral/slight citrus hop. Nice transfer from caramel malt sweet to a quickly developed bitterness bite. Smooth somewhat dry finish with an orange peel lingering taste. Long lasting off white head.

Can poured into glass. Very nice, easy drinking IPA. Good floral hops up front with a nice grapefruit finish. Definitely a good go to canned beer for me.

Pours a nice honey color with a small white / light tan cap. Smells like pineapple. Hard flavor. Not very sweet. Hoppy, slight pineapple, and a little herbal. Nice beer. Keeping my eyes open for more from six point. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Lemon, floral, and bready aromas. Orange with a light haze, and a moderately lasting, white head. Dry, bitter, and bready. Light-medium body, good carbonation, and a bitter finish.
