Sixpoint Bengali Tiger is reminiscent of the century-old English IPA. In my perspective, many current IPAs suffer from lacking substance; unbalanced by a hoppy assertiveness that is not substantiated by a strong foundation of rich malt flavors. Our interpretation uses the highest-quality, floor-malted base malt, which lends a full-bodied and rich caramel flavor. We mash at high temperatures and add generous amounts of specialty malts to further emphasize a strong foundation of malt as leverage for our generous additions of hops… Which are indeed generous. We use a total of three different hop strains, and add a total of six different additions throughout the process. The Bengali Tiger has a hoppy snap upfront, but strides at a steady pace, and finishes balanced. The signature characteristic of the Tiger is the aroma… we use massive quantities of whole East Kent Goldings hops to dry hop in our conditioning tanks. The result? The essential oils from the hops are an enticing treat before every sip. Notice the lacing of stripes around the pint glass as you finish your glass; it’s the mark of the Tiger.

This IPA blends a perfect balance of malt, hops, and yeast flavor. Everything works well together. Up front is a nice body, then it transitions to delicous hops and the yeast comes in--the yeasty flavor is almost reminiscent of a belgian pale ale. One of my favorites. IMHO way underrated compared to a lot of other IPAs that pale in comparison to this. A perfect beer. If you like IPAs it doesn’t get any better than this. Seek it out.

Brilliant - herbal resinous hops jump out the glass - mirrored on the palate - low malt impact but superb balance - fantastic bitterness - touch of peppery heat at the end ?chilli - I love this - really easy to smash down. One point off because I prefer tropical fruited hops.

THIS IS AN IPA. I, to this day, would have to say this is the 2nd best IPA I have tasted. It is truly a great beer. The hops stick to your tongue, making you crave a refill almost instantaneously.

"Strides forward with a malty cadence, then leaps with a wave of bitterness. Slashed with a giant paw of citrus, pine, and resin!" This is what they say and i would have to agree great beer a must try!

Sixpoint Bengali Tiger IPA is a top-notch IPA. Nice amber pour with a decent head. Real nice floral nose although not complex. Hop character lingers on the palate after the swallow. Bitter bite doesn’t last long. Bengali Tiger is an IPA worthy enough to put on your regular rotation.

Nice big foamy head on top of a deep gold amber color. Lacing follows. b Fresh hop and grapefruit citrus aroma. Hints of orange. Taste is bitter but you feel the malt in the back. Finish is clean with a slight bitter aftertaste. Fantastic brew!

Pours clear, oily orange with a large off-white head. Smells of big floral notes with some solid citrus and sweet orange. Taste is floral, bitter oranges, and pine. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture and mild mouth-carbonation, Sixpoint Bengali Tiger finishes with lingering bitterness.

This is a well-balanced IPA that is well-worth trying. It is one of my current favorites that is easy to acquire in my region. It pours clear with a nice head and a fruity aroma. The taste is medium with respect to both bitterness and sweetness and a slightly bitter finish.
