Pours a nice honey color with a small white / light tan cap. Smells like pineapple. Hard flavor. Not very sweet. Hoppy, slight pineapple, and a little herbal. Nice beer. Keeping my eyes open for more from six point.

Lemon, floral, and bready aromas. Orange with a light haze, and a moderately lasting, white head. Dry, bitter, and bready. Light-medium body, good carbonation, and a bitter finish.

Pours orange amber with a little haze. A tall head of soft creamy foam that fell slowly to some crags and splotchy lace that really does settle into rings around the glass just like the stripes of a tiger. Just peachy to look at. Nose is finding me and it’s bountiful and floral. Plenty of pine, resin, grapefruit, tangerine and good bread from a rich malt spine. Gotta admit that this is one of the best noses on an IPA. Malt opens up as it warms with caramel and some apricot from the hops. I happen to love malt and for an IPA this one starts out with a big taste of biscuit , the hops are light and bitter over top of that. Some citrus rind and a little sour bite from the grapefruit, then pine, a little nutty flavor and some delicate hop oil takes you into a dry finish. Aftertaste is sweet with perfumey hops, malt, the apricot, honey and bread. Clean and crisp with a lasting bitter that never outdoes the underlying sweetness. Engaging and spirited.

Cloudy orange with a fairly creamy, head. Fair amount of lace. The aroma isn’t assertive, but you can pick up on the malt. The smell is not all hops without a foundation, there’s a rich malt in the there, even if it isn’t assertive. The flavor is very balanced. Smooth, bready malt with a citrus hop that dominates the finish. It’s pretty good, but only pretty good, and there are quite a few very good IPAs out there these days.

Sixpoint Bengali Tiger IPA is a top-notch IPA. Nice amber pour with a decent head. Real nice floral nose although not complex. Hop character lingers on the palate after the swallow. Bitter bite doesn’t last long. Bengali Tiger is an IPA worthy enough to put on your regular rotation.
