3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Fairly dark brown colour. Nutty aroma - lots of chestnuts and almonds. Pretty cool, that. Toasty, slightly malty character with a decent nuttiness factor. The beginnings of a decent brown ale here.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at Blind Tiger. Lightly hazy brown beer with a light ruby tint and a thin off-white head. The aroma is lightly earthy with soft caramel and rich toasted malts. Soft sweetness with an almost rye-like spicy malt complexity. Light molasses and rummy sweetness. A touch of cherry flavour against the malty sweetness as well. Light earthiness with a light leafy hop flavour on the back. Very drinkable brew and definitely one of the better brown ales I’ve had recently.
