No one can deny the beer climate is changing. Extreme bittering patterns and massive flavor oscillations are the new normal.

UPDATED: JAN 2, 2014 A very novel approach to a winter seasonal, this Amber Ale tends towards an IPA with distincty fruity tendencies. Reminds me a bit of Sierra Nevada’s Flipside in flavor, although this is lighter bodied and a bit more grainy. Some subtle notes of watermelon in the flavor.

One of the tastiest winter warmers. Could be spicier. Excellent flavor. Great holiday beer.

Great big hop forward aroma, pours a clear amber with a full white head. This is a nice big hop bomb, long lingering bitter finish, with some caramel presenting as well. Another good hoppy beer from Sixpoint.

12 oz. can. Pours a cloudy amber color with a lot of particulates. Thick, fluffy off-white head that lingers leaving some nice lacing. Aroma is of pine & citrus hops with some caramel malt in the background. Tastes the same as the aroma with a dry finish. The hops stick around after the swallow. Well done! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A very nice, very hoppy winter warmer. Hints of dark fruit sweetness, even a residual fruit flavor on the tongue at the end of the taste.

Big pine and citrus hop aroma with nice caramel malt sweet aroma as well. Flavor profile is very similar. Citrus, grapefruit, and pine hop flavors and medium malt sweetness. Medium heavy body. Clean finish. ---Rated via iPhone

Nice grapefruit hop character, light malt sweetness, slight hints of vanilla, easy to drink and hides its alcohol content well. A superlative offering, one of the best I’ve had from Sixpoint and certainly something I’d drink more often if it were year round.

12 oz. can from Total Wine, Chesapeake, VA. Dark orange pour with a frothy off-white head. Aroma is hop-forward with grapefruit rind, pineapple, and light pine. Bitter pine and grapefruit attack the tongue first and are balanced by subtle pale malt. One of the hoppiest "amber ales" I have ever tasted. Nice beer!

This is a beautiful copper color, completely cloudy, with a white head big enough to satisfy all. The aroma is quick and an impeccable balance starting with floral malt shifting to void. The beer has a medium body, malty hoppiness, with a medium strong bite, bitterness, and hoppy sweetness. Do they really make amy beer better than a double red? What ambers were meant to be.

Nice pine, citrus, in the aroma pours autumn orange color with a spongy orange tinted head and moderate lacing. Nice bitterness with caramel malt backbone. Tasty stuff
