Draft at Dutch’s, served in a pint glass. Pours a deep, pretty much opaque coffee brown with a finger of fairly resilient tan head. Aroma of coffee, earth, baker’s chocolate, mellow spice, and burnt toast. Flavor is the same. Light-medium bodied, with modest carbonation and a rich, gritty mouthfeel. Actually feels a lot like Beans on the palate. Good coffee porter, just slightly restrained and one-dimensional.

On tap at Dutch’s. Totally hazy dark brown color. Good bigger light brown head. Leaves great thicker lace. Awesome coffee in the nose, some dark chocolate. Medium plus body. Smooth, kind of creamy lighter carbonation. Light slick finish. Nice moderate sweet, lighter bitter taste. Impressive, tasty coffee porter. Good to wash down my mcd quarter pounder with (the QP itself was way subpar, though. They gypped me on the lettuce and tomato! WTF?!)

Taste intensely of sweet coffee plus a trace of chocolate. Light to medium body. Smooth, creamy, sweet with a pleasant coffee finish. Very nice!
