COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Gorilla Warfare Porter is a silky smooth porter made with 40 lbs of Park Slopeís Gorilla Coffee Ethiopian Yergacheffe blend, a Fair Trade and Organic Certified coffee roasted in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. The coffee has winey, spicy notes with hints of bakerís chocolate. Combined with patent malt, the signature of many great English-style porters, this is one silky smooth, coffee-rich porter.

Draught at TJís: Aroma of coffee, espresso, and bitter coffee. Poured very deep amber/brown in color with a small, creamy, dense, tan/beige head that diminished but lasted throughout. Opaque. Flavor is light to medium sweet and medium bitter. Tastes of hops, coffee, espresso, roasted malt, lactose, and some pine. Medium body. Dry texture. Average to lively carbonation. Coffee and roasted malt finish is lightly sweet and medium bitter, as well as dry. 7.8%ABV is completely hidden throughout.

Draft. Pours dark dark brown with a beige head. Roasty aroma with plenty of coffee and a light sweetness. The flavor has tons of roasted coffee goodness, some lightly burnt malts, and a light sweetness. Nice.

64oz growler at the DC Local tasting. Pours a slightly viscous, opaque black with a creamy tan head. Big coffee aroma, nuts, brown sugar, toasted breads. Flavor is sweet, coffee with cream, toasted bread, brown sugar, nuts. Full bodied, sweet coffee finish. Smooth.

Growler, thanks nimbleprop. Small beige head atop cola-brown body. Aroma is moderately sweet, milk chocolate, coffee. Taste is moderately sweet, coffee, bittersweet chocolate, light burnt. Sticky medium-full body, light acidity.

(OId BA rate - tap) Near black color, with some brown tones. Nice-looking thick, milky tan head. Great lacing throughout the sample. Bittersweet chocolate, roasted malts, and lots of coffee bean aromas. Very much like roasted coffee with good malt sweetness to balance it out. Nice bitter chocolate ending on it. A bit thinner than I expected, but with nice light carbonation. Not overly mouthfilling, but still nice. This is very drinkable, even though it has a lot of strong flavors. Great sipper for cooler weather, and would recommend for after dinner. Overall, really liked this

Draft at Craft. Pours deep black with 1-finger tan head. Nose is huge oaky bourbon, dark patent malt, brown sugar,chocolate and molasses. Tastes of dark malt, molasses, dark choc, coffee, with a very complex, semi-sweet flavor, and more oak, chocoff, malt, and molasses as it warms. Some late rauchy notes. Solid.

Dark brown color, edge head. Aroma of Starbucks. Very light bodied, flavor is of over roasted coffee, just like a Starbucks. More like drinking a cup of coffee than a porter.

Tap at Craft Ale House. Pours a deep almost black with a creamy tan head. Aroma of a nice complex coffee, chocolate, nuts and malt sweetness. Flavor is also of complex coffee notes, chocolate, sweet malts, light roast and caramel. Ethiopian Yergacheffe coffee is my favorite beans and I was excited to hear that It was used in this beer.

UPDATED: AUG 26, 2012 Draft at barcadi in Brooklyn. Pours pitch black with nice off white lacing. Aroma is delicious expresso roast. Mouthfeel is medium with flavors of roast, expresso, and some sweet notes...maybe even some fruit???

On tap at barcade. Aroma is rich espresso... Roasty and hearty. Taste is roasted malts, smoke, espresso, and a touch of vanilla. Great porter!
