Pours a lightly hazy amber/orange with golden notes and medium bubbly/creamy off white head. Aroma of sweet malt, earthy, tobacco, nuts, light oak and list Belgian easters. Flavors of nuts, tobacco, caramel, light Belgian yeast esters, spicy tea notes, light oak and some dark fruits. RblWthACoz (959), Brooklyn, New York, USA Feb 5, 2008 Eh. A nice Belgian style. But a Grand Crue? I dunno about that. Thick earthy flavor brings a pretty high level of the funk. Lots of bitter edge from thick amounts of hops. Feel is good. And it is a nice one to drink, just not one of my all time favorites from Sixpoint. egajdzis (2947), Terrapin, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 2, 2007 [Draft @ Mug’s Ale House] Poured a murky red brown color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of dried fruits, light brett, vanilla, caramel, and light roastiness. Taste of plums, raisins, figs, chocolate, vanilla, light spices, roast, with a bit of tartness, and some alcohol in the finish.
